Bonham Urgent Care received 45.8% positive feedback, with patients praising the friendly and attentive staff. However, 54.2% of the feedback was negative, primarily citing prescription delays and poor follow-up communication. Overall, the practice is appreciated for its caring service, yet it needs better time management and communication.ScoreDoc Score

The fact that your company doesn’t have the decency to call a patient to apologize on behalf of your negligent provider speaks volumes about your practice. **** Beware as you can see from other reviews patient neglect is common here. **** I went in on a Monday morning due to me having an allergic reaction to something and being broken out in hives from head to toe. The doctor said she we call In steroids and a few other things to help with the allergic reaction. Come Wednesday morning my prescription had still not been called in, I called and was told by the front office that she would let the doctor know. Wednesday afternoon I'm still broken out and itching all over, my prescription still hasn’t been called in. I call them back a the front desk informed me that “they are very busy and running two hours behind. The doctor hasn’t had a chance to call it in”. (Side note just my thoughts) Im confused hasn’t had a chance to call it in? Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday three days isn’t enough time to call in a prescription? What was the point in coming to see you if I can’t get a prescription in a timely manner? If I wanted someone to look at my skin Dr. Google can do that for FREE and didn’t need to go to medical school to do it. After figuring out I wasn’t going to get anywhere with the Bonham location (yes I said bonham location, this is a corporation) I went to Facebook and commented on post after post until someone direct messaged me. Well 7:30 PM Wednesday night my presentation finally gets called in but guess what Brookshire’s is closed for the evening so it will now be Thursday before I get my presentation. Another sleepless night of clawing myself to death (yes I’ve tried over the counter things). Commenting on Facebook post will get you blocked because they don’t want people to see their negligence. They will be a coward and hide behind a facebook message versus owning up to their mistakes and calling the patient to apologize. What you should take away from my experience. • They are two hours too busy for you. • Google could provide more help for free. • Hope you aren’t going to them for a true emergency if so Bonham has two funeral homes you might want to stop by and make arrangements after you leave this facility. • The ER bill will probably be worth it just go to the ER. Actually run to the ER, run far away from this place. • You are not important. This is not the “Help” you are not important.

My son went to them on Monday for an allergic reaction causing hives all over his body, swollen lips, swollen hands and an anesthetic taste in his mouth. I discouraged him from going here after all rhe things I've read about them but our family doctor wasn't immediately available. It's now Wednesday evening and his prescriptions were never called in, even after calling twice today. Once they started getting comments on their FB page to call attention to their neglect, they started blocking people. You wouldn't have to block people if your staff just did your job. Blocking people instead of apologizing for your mistake is a sign of guilt and shows you want to try to hide what your provider did.
Over 2 days later and they haven't bothered to call in my sons medication for an allergic reaction he had that caused welps and hives all over his body, his hands-tongue-lips to all swell, a metallic/anesthetic taste in his mouth. They have been called twice and still haven't done it. Medical neglect.

I do not recommend this urgent care facility. I arrived and waited 2.5 hours to be seen. I was patient because I realized Covid has seen a recent resurgence, and Mya, the PA who saw me was excellent; very attentive, listened, and took her time with me giving me 100% of her attention. The issues began after the visit. Mya prescribed a weight loss shot for me which was sent to my pharmacy. My pharmacy called the next day to let me know the prescription was ready and that it would cost $1200. I called my insurance company and they said it needed pre-authorization before they could process it and my payment would drop to $90. Blue Cross sent the pre-authorization to Quick Care 3 times and it's been 4 weeks and Blue Cross still hasn't received it from Quick Care. I called Quick Care every day for 2 weeks to check on it and always got the run-around. Apparently, Dr. Kirby (0 stars for her services) completed it and from what the receptionist says is still on the computer. Not sure who's responsible for pressing the button that submits it to Blue Cross, but it's still sitting there. I spoke to the Office Manager, who isn't physically at that location, and she said she'd check into it and call me the next day. I've never heard from her. I asked to speak to Mya and was always told she was with patients but they'd give her the message. Never heard back from her either. I even called their toll-free number and was given the run-around and never actually spoke to anyone who could assist. So, I basically paid my $35 copay, had blood drawn which I haven't been billed for yet (AND WON'T PAY UNTIL I GET MY PRE-AUTHORIZATION COMPLETED) and nothing has happened with the prescription. THANK GOD my prescription isn't for a life-threatening condition because I'd be dead waiting for that pre-authorization. So, it's now been 5 weeks and I still don't have the medication. Please do not visit this facility if you aren't in a full-blown emergency because after you leave that building, they completely forget about it! It was so disappointing because I drove an hour just to be seen at this urgent care. I do not recommend and I give 1 Star (the star is for Mya who was excellent while I was being seen by her during my visit).
I came in for a drug screen for work was told it should only be a minute ..... well apparently minutes mean hours in Bonham tx ... I just witnessed a lady sit in here for 2 1/2 hrs before getting called then left another 1 hr after that there is no way people will continue to use this dreadful place what a crock I'm recommending to the company I work for to never use these people again ........
Entered, was told no in-house provider but had virtual provider. Filled out 5 pages of paperwork and waited 30+ minutes. Had one patient in back and one ahead of us but after all this they came out and said they were not able to find a virtual provider. How can they be open with no provider? Will never use this business again.
Last week I visited this urgent care due to a fall. Saw Kirby. She is fantastic! Today I went for a sinus infection the provider today was Jamie Brantley. She is a joke!!! I would recommend you call in advance to see who is working. First of all I was asked if I had body aches. Seriously I fell a week ago. What do you think. Than for a sinus infection she sent an antibiotic to drug store. Problem with that. I told her I was up all night coughing and mucinex dm 1200 wasn't working and I couldn't sleep. She asked me if I needed a cough med. I said yes and she blatantly didn't call it in. I can say that because I called clinic to advise them I didn't get cough med and told them which pha
I have been sick for three days with a stomach virus. I never go to the doctor, I’m one of those kind of people and try to fight it because we are so busy. Well after 3 days it was time. I called Urgent Care and was told its on a walk in basis. I came in and everyone was so nice and helpful. I’m dehydrated so I was given fluids. Its a great place and was treated nicely. I will be back and I recommend it to everyone.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
