List of Dayna Diven's Reviews
Horrible and rude service on the phone, lady could not spell, took all my information and then said there is not an opening for another month, a staph infection cannot wait for a month, complete waste of time, she assured me that for then next month, every time slot at every hour outside of lunch was taken, funny because it's near my house and there are never cars there, waste of time, illiterate staff. I asked her if they were hiring because I'd love to work at a place where you get paid to do nothing. I have no clue how the actual doctor is, good luck trying to get to her with a TERRIBLE gatekeeper.
Caring and knowledgable! Do wish that she used the giant lit magnifying glass to look at my face.
Dr. Diven is very knowledgeable and I highly recommend her she treated my son for his eczema and I also was treated for my acne. I definitely recommend this location.
Horrible experience!! Office cares less about you and your time. Waited 55 minutes to see the doctor. What's the point of an appointment.
After trying a couple of other doctors I decided to do some research. When I can across Dr. Diven I thought what could be better than have the teacher as my doctor. Well, she is the best! As a medical school professor she is up to speed on the latest treatments. If a referral is needed she knows the best doctors to get the job done.Dr. Diven resolved issues that several other doctors just treated the symptom. Having residents involved in your appointment is a plus and you contribute to the training of new doctors. I drive 50 miles to see this exceptional physician.
I was very impressed by Dr.Diven. She took the time to talk with me and was very personal. I had a procedure done while I was there, she was very quick and walked me through the process. I have been to other dermatologists in the past that I felt didn't listen to me or my concerns. But Dr.Diven was great! I highly recommend her.
Dr. Diven was very thorough. She identified and removed a squamous cell carcinoma that was misidentified by my previous dermatologist. Her manner is kind and professional. The dermatology doctors who train under her are learning from the best. I have followed her to Kyle because it's well worth the drive from Austin to receive her level of excellent care.
I was a patient of Dr. Diven's, presenting with a spot on the back of my right leg above my ankle that was painful to the touch. She thought it was an ingrown hair, gave me topical ointment and said to return in a week. A week later, it is more painful; she had one of her fellows (trainees) take a biopsy and told me to call her in 10 days if I haven't heard from her. (NOTE: I left my cell phone, with asterisks noting that it was the best way to contact me on my registration forms.) I called after 10 days, to follow-up on the biopsy. I was RUDELY told that they had tried to contact me (on my home number, which I never check); Dr. Diven was not in the office, and someone would call me back. I left my office number, got up and went to the bathroom. When I got back to my desk, there was a very rude message that someone was trying to contact me; I called back immediately, and was told by the receptionist (yes, receptionist) that I had cancer and I needed to come in as soon as possible ... I said that I was hanging up. Less than 3 minutes later, Dr. Diven called me back and said that I should come in so they could remove the cancer (I first had to I come in for a pre-op visit.) I previously worked at MD Anderson in Houston, so I knew to ask if I shouldn't see a Mohs' surgeon (one who specializes in removing squamous cancer in difficult locations); Dr. Diven's response was, "No, I'm sure I can get it all." She didn't get it all, it became horribly infected, I had to go to a Mohs' surgeon (who was great!), but had to spend so much time off my feet - I lost income, and have a huge ugly scar on the back of my leg. She should have referred me to a Mohs' surgeon because of the location of the cancer (no fat above my ankle, so no wiggle-room to cut deep enough to get the 'clean margins'). Her ego got in the way of my health. I spent weeks having to keep my leg elevated, horribly painful sessions having my wound debrided of the infection, and lots of money on medical supplies and antibiotics. .
I've known Dr. Diven for 27 years and have only received excellent care from her. She's incredibly intelligent, very personable and gives her patients excellent care. "Anna" dissed Dr. Diven for not knowing 'basic' information on how long Anna's been taking a 'serious' medication. Why don't YOU have that information, Anna if it's so basic?! The review by Anna tells far more about her than it does about Dr. Diven.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
