List of Touchstone Medical Imaging's Reviews
UPDATE -- I was sent here yet again by my PCP. This time I made an appointment via phone. I spoke to a nice lady who gave me the price. The price prior to giving my insurance information was $154 flat. After answering her questions, giving my insurance info, I was told someone would call me back with an "updated" price. No call came, but Appt time was here, so I walked in and was greeted by a much changed price of $358 for the quoted item. and Just like the first time, I canceled and walked. There will never be a 3rd attempt. The neat thing is, I was referred to Monticello Imaging just across the street by my PCP when I called them back. I paid less than $80 there as a walk in, and was seen with 10 minutes from hitting the door. I was still filling in papers when the extremely nice staff member asked me if I was ready. Do yourself a favor folks. ----------------------------------------------- below is the original review -- Word to potential patients, take your wallet. They "forget" to tell you about upfront charges until check in, even though the person at the desk knew a charge wasn't covered the moment I gave her my insurance information. Very irritated by ambush tactics used. Luckily what I needed is for something non-serious so I cancelled and walked. If you're in need of a diagnostic or imaging provider, I'd look elsewhere. XRays are usually covered by Blue Cross, so this is probably just an upcharge to pad their bottom line. This is why the US needs single payer health care.
Our doctor ordered an ultrasound for my son today. I got the text message from Touchstone about 11:00 telling me to call and schedule an appointment. I immediately called and asked for the first available appointment. She said we could come in today at 3:00. I said we’ll take it. She said to be there at 2:45. We then got the text message to fill out our info online to save time, which we did. We arrived at 2:45, my son was called back at 2:55. We were back in my truck headed home at 3:22. Now that’s how it’s supposed to be done. Well done Touchstone 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻 As a bonus, my son said the technician was very friendly and polite. 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
Short staff and rude help
Very friendly and I didn't have wait that long 10 minutes at the most.I would definitely recommend this place.
The facility‘s primary concern is with payment rather than patient care. For my first scan, they called to say I would be responsible for over $1K UPFRONT. I called the insurance company, who said I would be responsible for $230 and they would notify the facility. At appointment sign-in, the receptionist handed me a printed bill with >$1K highlighted and requested payment. It took some discussion for her to research and verify the correct amount. I paid, THEN they performed the test. I won’t even detail the second fiasco. If you are independently wealthy, and/or can get past the obnoxious paywall shenanigans, the techs are professional, efficient and courteous.
I’ve been here twice and the receptionists have been rude both times. This time the receptionists saw me waiting at the front desk and ignored me while they had a conversation among themselves, when they finally acknowledged me they responded with a bad attitude. They also have no patience and are unwilling to help. At the end of my visit I wanted to pay for it in split payments of half cash and half credit card but they only took my cash and said I’d receive the rest of my invoice in the mail even after I told them I was willing to pay for it right then and there.
I’m always in & out quickly & then on my way. Tip, fill your forms out online prior to visit. You will be in & out in a flash with little to no wait. Keep up the great work!
Very unorganized they need to train staff accordingly and the lady was rude! I had my sons appt scheduled for a chest x-ray, but I was told they were out of network with his insurance and I could pay out of pocket. I agreed to pay out of pocket due to being something serious for my 22 month old baby but I received a call 1 hour before appt stating they could not see my son due to him being on Aetna medicaid government benefit and I wasn't able to get charged out of pocket for it being "illegal". It's a first time I ever heard of that because I have done some payment at some offices that the insurance doesn't cover.
Their Burleson location was great. Wonderful staff and technicians.
I had 24 xrays today. The whole experience was great.. They were friendly and it went very fast. My technician was Bryce and he was very patient with my difficulty getting into each position due to pain. I would definitely come here again

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
