I was nervous and fretful coming in to discuss my health with Dr Hughes. He calmed my worries by explaining my tests, exams, and options in terms that was easily understandable. His voice and facial expressions are gave me a sense of his sincerity that is very refreshing for a patient whenever surgery has to be discussed. He listened to me and helped me to make me feel validated and like I was part of my own care plan. I appreciated that he offered me a conservative approach and didn't go straight to the surgical route, because my health conditions are complicated and he looked at the BIG picture. He gave me short term and long term goals and treatment options. He explained every part of my physical exam prior to performing any procedure. He was gentle, professional, and respectful. He even let me ask him if any patients ever have a difficulty looking at him in the eyes after such exams ... I know I felt ackward, but I know that I have confidence in his knowledge and expertise !!! Thanks, Doc!!! Great staff!! Shoutout ty of Brooke and her awesome "Brooke SMILE" !! I had a visit today with DR. Hughes. His staff was extremely professional and eager to help. The office is very nice. Dr. Hughes is fantastic. Very professional and great bed side manner. Doctors like this today are hard to find. I highly recommend Dr. Hughes if you are ever in need of his speciality.

Dr. Matthews is very professional and knowledgable. He goes straight to tackle the problem at the moment, if possible. All I know is I've been to many different proctologists in Texas and in Beverly Hills that had me the run around juts taking my money left to right either Bcuz they were unethical or not skilled or outdated in new treatments and Doctor Matthew fixed it on my first visit. He is amazing and I definitely recommend him.

I was highly impressed with Dr. Hughes' professionalism, knowledge & time he took with me during my office visit to discuss what to expect and answer questions prior to my procedure. Once at the hospital he was most timely, had an amazing bedside manor and exceptional surgeon. I would highly recommend this physician, specializing in colon & rectal health.

My primary care physician, Dr. Jeffrey Stewart, recommended I see one of the doctors at TCRS for a colon cancer screening. First, it impressed me how many locations they had in the Dallas area to choose from. I picked the Carrollton location as it was in the same building as my primary doctor and was convenient from my house. Additionally, I wanted to get the colonoscopy done before I left for a vacation - only two weeks out. Dr. Hughes and his staff were extremely friendly, professional and accommodating in getting me in for the initial visit and then the procedure. He was very helpful and also educational in walking me through the entire process and follow up. At 55 years old, I am very confident they were thorough in their screening to ensure I had no issues. I wish all doctor offices had this same ease of access.
