I recently had an unfortunate experience during my office visit with Dr. Whitney Gao on April 29, 2025. I went in with several issues, including hyperpigmentation of my eyelids, hair loss following a hysterectomy, a cyst, and eczema. I had hoped to address all of these concerns, but I was disappointed to learn that the doctor only intended to discuss two of them. Despite clearly expressing my insecurities about these issues, Dr. Gao was dismissive of my other concerns. While she maintained a professional demeanor, her passive-aggressive attitude made me feel undervalued as a patient. As an African American, I shared with her that my experiences have led me to prefer providers who look like me, given the historical mistreatment of minorities in healthcare. As a Case Manager in the healthcare industry, I understand the importance of attentively listening to patients and addressing their concerns with consideration and resolution. Unfortunately, I did not feel this level of care from Dr. Gao. It's disheartening, especially considering the vital role that understanding and empathy play in effective medical care. I hope to see improvements in how patients' concerns are handled in the future, as every issue deserves attention and respect.

Love the staff and doctor. Felt well heard and respected. Did not like the pre-paperwork coming text with the subject heading "check in". A better heading could be "pre-checkin health history."

Waiting Area was neat simple and clean. My wait time in the Lobby was under 10mins. The Staff was pleasant and the Physician as well. The Patient's Room was neat and clean. The Physician's bedside Manner was very Professional, welcoming, knowledgeable, patient and his Skin was amazing. I'm glad Dr. F. Diggs referred me to Dr. Meyers.
