This place is by far the WORST medical facility I have ever been to. It should be shut down. The staff is incompetent and rude. The front desk could not get me checked in for the longest time and kept making the simplest mistakes which made the process take forever. They couldn’t even get the oxygen reader to work on my son. They didn’t have empty bottles for him. The rooms were disgusting. So dirty. My son threw up and the nurse gave me a towel and told me to wipe it up while I was crying because my baby was so sick. After I wiped it up, the white towel turned black from the floor. They barely checked anything with my son. The doctor and nurse were not wearing gloves but both touched my son’s mouth. Everyone here is so kind, caring and genuinely concerned about their patients. I haven’t received medical care of this level in years. UT Health in Pittsburg is top notch and their employees are phenomenal. Thank you for remembering what medical care is all about.

avoid this hospital if you can!

Do not trust anything to do with Ardent health services. They do not care about their workers push their doctors to push patients through like cattle and there is little resources and help with nursing staff. Some of the actual doctors do care but their hands are tied with who is controlling the higher up and political entities. You are much better finding private practice physicians who are not bound to these money hungry big corps who have sold out.

A big shout out to UT Health in Athens. Thank you to all the staff who made my over night stay comfortable. I was transferred from Gun Barrel by ambulance and the EMS was very professional and courteous. Thank you Brian, Scott and Tayler. Best ride ever and hopefully the only one. Nurse Shellie is the best! What an asset she is to the hospital. She and Jessica took very good care of me. I also met Dr. Archer who I plan to continue seeing and Dr. Zafar. Both of these doctors are outstanding in their fields.

I was taken by ambulance to UT Health Carthage at 11:30 pm a week ago for possible internal bleeding from a tumor rupture. The night crew were great in assisting with my patient needs, but the day crew could’ve cared less. There was a day shift nurse, kinda heavy set with a multi-colored hat on during the day. She should be reprimanded if not fired. My wife asked her for pain meds and she said they were working on them. 20 minutes later, she peeked her head out and asked again. The nurses were still in the same spot and hadn’t moved. Then the one in mention told my wife that my lunch tray was up there and would she like to come get it. Not my wife’s job to deliver lunch.I was then told I was to be transported to MD Anderson in Houston, 3-5 hour drive depending on traffic. Ambulance arrived at 11:30 am but could not administer pain meds if needed. They said a transport that could administer them would be available at 4pm.At 3 pm a nurse came in and advised that the 4 o’clock transport would not make it until 11pm, but she could turn the other transport around and it would be there within the hour. Two hours later she came in and said she could get one there until 11 pm. Worst hospital ever. So disappointing and I don’t think they really care to improve.
