List of Capital Endocrine & Diabetes's Reviews
BEST Endocrinologist !Dr. Segu is different; he takes the time to fully understand your medical situation and then he will guide you to improve your health. He has great knowledge, communication skills and is committed to you well being. My husband and I have been Dr. Segu's patients for many years.I have hypothyroidism, hypertension, was pre-diabetic and had very low vitamin D issue for years ( hard to fix). My husband has a heart condition and is diabetic.Through the years, following Dr. Segu's advice, our health has improved so, so much. My husband's A1C is down to 6.5 with half the medication and I am no longer pre-diabetic! My A1C is finally normal and my vitamin D is at a normal level too ... Yay! I could see the happiness on Dr. Segu's face this last appointment as he was sharing the good news. It wasn't easy and it took time, but with his guidance we saw results that matter .My Tip to anyone with endocrine disorders: this is the practice that will help you improve your health and have a better life, not just prescribe meds. It's health management, like a "Coach", Dr. Segu asks the questions, looks at your blood work and then makes suggestions to guide you and help you get better. In our case , we listened, made the changes that need to happen - like changing some eating habits-, doing a little bit of exercise like walking, taking the meds on time, and the results are there ... we are healthier now than 5 years ago.Highly recommend this practice.
The care here has been lazy. Instead of just calling me for a 10 minute conversation, I was forced to go back and forth in their portal with questions about 4 different types of a prescription they recommend I take....I would get 1 reply a day...and this went on for over a month! The 4 options were all very different and very expensive. I can handle the cost until I reach my out of pocket max, but I'm not a trained professional who can choose what would be best for my care and situation. It's nice they give me an option, but never would give me advice on what would be the best option. It was overwhelming and stressful researching everything and trying to learn things that a doctor easily knows. This practice seems to focus more on money than actually helping me figuring out the bigger picture of what's going on with my multiple endocrine issues. I even sent records for the last 10 years from multiple doctors and specialists....and they didn't even look at it! So I'm paying a fortune to start from square one. I'm exhausted and tired of the sheer disinterest when I try to make it as easy as possible to provide as much information as I can.Unfortunately, I'm stuck using these guys until I find a better doctor, but I'm probably just going back to my Houston endocrinologist since telehealth is so easily accessible now.Update: 7/20/21After posting this review they have shut down my access to the patient portal to access my health records or book further appointments. I've tried calling and even their texting communication process and no acknowledgement of the issue....as in maybe the portal is just down today? I'd be ok with that...or some other excuse, but this is day 2 and I still can't get in. The portal logs me in, and then logs me right out. I need those records to send to an internal medicine specialist. I'll have the specialist's office request the records since this practice has ostracized me for this review. Also, their response mentioned that insurance dictates what medicine a patient ultimately gets. My insurance actually covered the first set of meds at 50% where it was still 1K a month. I could make that work until I hit my out of pocket maximum, but I wanted to make sure the probability of it working was worth the risk of dropping thousands of dollars on possible snake oil. Especially when they threw 4 different kinds at me.If they bother to take the time to show that they care about me as a patient rather than just fleecing my insurance for money, then I'll take this review down. I've never been so rudely treated by a practitioner before. This is insane. I hope everyone stays away from them and their vindictive team.
I really like Dr Mehta. BUT, I can't get anyone to help me with a retest on bloodwork thatShe p rescribed. Called, left texts, no one answered. ???? This procedure to text the office is so far not patient oriented. Still waiting!!!
Always prompt with no wait. Good people that are friendly. They go out of their way to help out in any situation
NP does most of the work but bills as a specialist. 3 appointments in 8 months for a minor condition I have had for years and all blood work results were normal. Rude front office that will not answer the phone - they "prefer" text messaging (actually ask you to choose this option) but are not responsive. Their response nails it... "Don't come to us...".
I was able to make my first appointment with ease and everyone was very nice!
I have regrets going here total waste of time , all they care about is your money , they book you for appointments and take your money before you see the doctor and only to find out the doctor does not handle such issue . You basically pay for talking and you have to go find another doctor and you will not get a refund. I will speak to my attorney about this , this is fraud . It’s illegal to take money for a particular health case and later tell the patient cases like that can be treated by another doctor in the same place , makes no sense , it’s clearly fraud . The only good thing here is DR SEGU.
I was referred by my Dr. and after several phone calls, filling out paperwork, sending documentation and leaving messages and even speaking with someone over the phone (who informed me that they were accepting new patients), this office informed me weeks later that they are not accepting new patients. I was needing to be seen by a specialist ASAP, and they totally wasted my time. I deemed this very unprofessional and inconsiderate.
Here all they care about their money. "This is private facility we care about our income" quote from manager. if you owe them even 1 cent they keep calling you, and they will cancel your appointment without notifying you.ADVISE: if you have other options go other place, do not come here.
Not a very efficient medical practice. Could not get my re-order for insulin correct both times they were involved. Thank goodness for emergency re-fills. From experience, such clerical incompetence could not be tolerated. Too many variables to mention but professionalism is lacking...COVID or not. These practices can write their own rating reviews in some instances.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
