Run, do not walk, away from this doctor & practice! My primary care doc referred me to Dr. Borick for shoulder pain. An MRI was ordered but supporting paperwork was not sent, so MRI was denied. Two weeks after my initial visit, I fell & severely damaged my shoulder, was in excruciating pain, & bruised from my wrist to above my elbow. I returned to Borick, explained accident & he did nothing except a very cursory exam. Said a steroid shot was all he could offer because MRI was denied. He was not interested in my injury/fall and did not make any notes about this accident. I spent hours on the phone with my insurance company & even connected to Borick's office in a 3 way call with insurance rep. Rep clearly explained that an EXPEDITED appeal could be filed on the phone but Borick's staff didn't do this. In fact, even though I left several messages, Carla, Borick's assistant, did not return a single call! Be prepared to wait an hour or more past your appointment time; no patient consideration! Fortunately I found another doc; MRI shows significant damage requiring surgery.

Joke of a doctors office. They dont care is the persona they put off by never getting in touch with you after leaving 3 voicemails and waiting over 30 minutes each day on the phone that nobody answers or will call you back on. Lame little automated system. Extremely unprofessional.

Dr Jay Borick is the most arrogant, belittling, condescending, demeaning, rude doctors I have ever come across. My first experience with him I was attending with my daughter for her appointment he was late seemed very annoyed, agitated, overwhelmed, frustrated and not in a good mood. My daughter continued with physical therapy for about 4 months with no positive results. The physical therapy place discharged her and told her to continue treatment with her high school trainer. Dr Borick didn’t need to see her back unless her knee popped out again, her knee popped out a few weeks ago and to correct this requires surgery. My wife called Dr Borick’s office to have a consultation for this surgery, at least 3 different voicemails on different days were left and no one ever called back. Four weeks later and 2 weeks before my daughters’ surgery my wife was contacted by Timothy Dehart, his conversation was very sloppy, unprepared unprofessional and didn’t even know my child’s name and he ask how we plan on taking care of this projected fee. After calling my insurance they informed me that they do pay for a PA and even if the PA is out of network. The problem is this PA doesn’t bother with billing the insurance company; he has a straight fee that the patient is responsible for. Dr Borick has contracts with the insurance companies but the PAs he uses does not and will not bother with insurance. Dr Borick himself told me “I could pay the PA fee and get reimbursed by my insurance company OR I could find a new surgeon because he can assure me that fee is the cheapest”. That however has been the BEST advice Dr Borick had given us, FIND A NEW SURGEON. Not only did we find a new surgeon for my daughter, but she has her own skilled staff and is on the same street as Dr Borick. My advice to anyone dealing with Dr Borick, know what your insurance policy covers. Dr Borick is dishonest, disingenuous, has zero bedside manners, lacks empathy, arrogant, very money hungry and this is a doctor that works on children. Our entire experience with this practice hasn’t been good from the sour attitude lady at the front desk, the zero-call back from staff, to the surgery scheduler who scheduled surgery on his vacation time, to the arrogant doctor and finally the lady in records to leave this practice for true professional medical help. Just because someone has an MD on their name doesn’t mean they are a good one.

Very rushed and seems like he hates his job!!! Too many other good orthopedics in the area to settle for this joker

Horrible bedside manner. Very demeaning and condescending!! Your definitely just another # and dollar sign to him. Plus his PA that assist him in surgery" doesn't" bill your insurance cause he wasn't getting paid we were told by his PA that it would be 300.00 out of pocket. When we called our insurance to verify.. the insurance compliance department stated that is not how it should be collected. They should be billing the insurance. Our insurance company stated it sounded like they are trying to double dip. We called and spoke with Dr Borick about this and his answer was... " Well you can find another surgeon then"... plus other remarks that we unnecessary especially coming from a surgeon who is supposed to provide my child with adequate care and compassion.... I think NOT!!!! So off to another surgeon who will treat us fairly!!!

He went through the possible options regarding the damaged to my knee. He was one of the few Dr's that didn't go the surgery first route. Instead I'm having the gel injections which are working out great. He's also the first Dr. to use a scope to locate the injection area, reducing the need to poke around like others Dr.'s did on my other knee. This yielded an injection with little or no pain. Thumbs up to a Dr. who listens completely first before jumping to any conclusions.

Dr. Borick is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He has treated both of my children and goes the extra mile to ensure they’re in good hands. Highly recommend!
