I’d give it 0. So I’d honestly not recommend atleast this doctor to anyone much less patients who deal with mental illness like anxiety not even just bipolar or depression but the low of anxiety. I’ve been diagnosed with server anxiety since I was 13 and now that I’m 22 and have my own way to find medicine I sought out for pcp and well I had my anxiety meds for a while and honestly vistril is prescribed for more than anxiety for little things like motion sickness ect. Before my last last visit I explained I had came back from mental health facility and that the staff there was very unprofessional and put me on depakote for my bipolar without disclaiming to me that it causes infertility in young women…so I stopped and I told her that and she told me that they arnt unprofessional basically and acted like I can go back to get my meds and not feel uncomfortable. I made it very aware to hear that I’m searching for psychiatrist to atleast keep my other antipsychotic to help me sleep at night. And that if she had to cut that off that’s absolutely fine considering what kind of drug it is compared to vistril. I just recently opened a new H-E-B store so it’s been very overwhelming and been reaching out for over a week and they finally tell me now that she refuses beacause I need to see a psychiatrist…knowinh I still can’t get anyone cuz even she said it’s hard to get an appointment. Anyways I will not be going back to her or calling the office back to waste my time when I know they should atleast prescribe me my anxiety meds til I find one or an online third party system or let alone the funds for this all. It was very simple and easy with her in the beginning but even in the beginning I had my doubts she made me feel very uncomfortable by trying to immediately tell me what I need to do with my like and certain habits to stop. I can understand as a doctor she’s giving medical advise but the way she talked to me was like she was acting like my mother. And it’s not like I lie about my anxiety I could show her all the paperwork of me being in and out since I was a kid. I simple just can’t handle stress the way others can. Everytime I go somewhere my social anxiety flares up so even when I talked to her she would take my pulse and be like why is it so high like to assume I’m doing something else to make me all shaky or even asked if I was drinking on these meds when alchole makes my depression and anxiety worse. I’d simple tell her my anxiety runs all day everyday and that’s why she even asked when I got out of the facility why did my dosage go up on my meds and I’m like maam what else do I have to say I have servers anxiety. Even on my first visit I went to get my anxiety meds refilled and she told me to make another appointment with her and the front staff were mindblown bc they dealt with anxiety and even said she should be giving it to me today. I have many others that deal with anxiety and the same stuff I go through and they honestly tell me to sue her because of how unprofessional she is but acts professional. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk and if she reads this herself I hope she knows everytime I made an appointment I called her Dr.vagina. Yes I’m petty and very young but this was a very big low for me I’m tired of mentally I’ll people being treated unfair. Most would kill themseleves not having their anxiety meds but I’ve done this before without insurance so whatever doctor va jay jay. I hope u deal with anxiety and get told oh ur just faking ??
The best doctor I've ever seen. She doesn't rush you and she listens to you. I've never had any problems with getting an appt. I've been seeing Dr. Vijay for years and would never consider seeing anyone else.
Dr Vijay has been my family's Doctor since we moved to Austin in 2007. She has been nothing but thorough, patient and competent. Her specialist recommendations are the best in Austin per my experience. I do not know if she accepts new patients, but if she does, call and run over!
Dr Vijay has been my primary care physician for about 30 years. She takes excellent care of me! I have referred family and friends to her! They have also received excellent care.

They will make you take an appointment, visit the place and then call the insurance to tell you the price of visit. So much attitude to respond for any question from the receptionist.
Dr. Vijay will find your diagnosis and and recommend the correct specialist if needed. She is a hands on physician which is hard to find. She is thorough and will stay in touch with other specialists if they are necessary .Any negative comments are hard to understand and in my opinion incorrect.
She is just after the money.
I went here when I found out I was pregnant and asked what I should do while I wait for my first ob/gyn appointment. She recommended insufficient labwork that had to be redone (and paid for) with my new doctor. I specifically asked if this would happen BEFORE she did it. I tried calling to talk about it, no answer. So I sent a letter asking her to call me back. Instead, she had her rude nurse call me a month later, who interrupted me *every single time* I tried to speak. She told me "we've been going back and forth for 30 minutes, I need to end the conversation." I looked at my phone, it had been 8 minutes and 50 seconds. It could have been a shorter conversation if I were able to finish a thought ;) She snidely explained unrelated information to me and told me "$50 wasn't very much money so she didn't really see the problem". More interrupting. I told her she was being very rude and she replied "I've been working here for 11 years, people LOVE me". I told her that's great, but she's been rude this entire time and I have yet to be able to finish a sentence. She interrupted me, I said "you just did it again", and she hung up on me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
