List of Darryl Peterson's Reviews
Dr. Peterson is a unique individual. He's direct and to the point. He showed me on my X-ray what was causing my pain and explained to me what his first course of action would be. Of course it's PT. Insurance companies will not approve surgeries unless PT has been obtained. Not saying I will need surgery, but who knows. I like his style and will continue to use him.
He loves to give finger surgery for finger joint arthritis. So, you must get a second opinion.
Best hand surgeon!!! Cares about the whole person. Takes time to listen. Highly skilled with a thoughtful and learned manner. Army Veteran and West Point graduate who remains humble despite many accomplishments. Highly recommend.
The Doctor cared enough about my son hand that he went to the football game stood on the sideline to make sure his hand was being wrapped right.
When he was in Baton Rouge, La he presented himself as a knee surgeon. I had tendon replacement done by him and noticed a problem as soon as I came to. It took four months to convince his office that it was beyond what was describe as normal. Halve of the time associates in the office were all I saw. I sometimes think it would better to cut it off because neurologist don’t know what do with the nerve damage. Now I travel to Houston every couple of month to let neurologist there attempt to help. I had to have total knee replacement to fix the knee.
He’s very attentive and he connects with each patient at an individualized level. He also saved my leg from a severe gunshot wound when I was 12. Not only did he save my leg, but he saved my life. He’s amazing!
Dr Peterson is very professional kind and cares about his patients. He explains to where you understand. Even calls and checks on his patients!
Left my review before but it is not here anymore. I did go for a second opinion one year later. Dr Peterson said it was a level 1 sprain and would be just fine. They also said it would take time as sprains heal slowly. My second opinion said he could try and fix it but my hand may be way worse. I have a blown out tendon which would have been on a MRI. The second dr could not find my MRI. Hand is permanently handicap. Had to relearn to write with different fingers and it is painful! Don't GO.
I trust he was a good surgeon, and allowed him to work my knee. His surgery team miss used a tourniquet resulting ing permanent nerve damage to my entire leg.
In 2004, in Baton Rouge, LA, my husband and I had a motorcycle accident in which I sustained a crushed left tib/fib (just below the knee). Peterson Used me for a guinea pig! Not to mention, he kept trying different, unproven, braces and splints, that I later found out were being made by a friend of his that was trying to get a new business started. Several surgeries later, I wound up with C-Diff and lost my colon. Several touch and go days in the ICU! I literally almost died at the hands of this man! I would not recommend him to anyone!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
