Imran Fayaz Md's Online Review Report Card

As noted in a previous review, I had a very successful laminectomy and fusion in 2015 due to changes in a different area of my back from years of wear and tear ( I am sure that age has anything to do with it) I had another opportunity to seek out the services of Dr.Fayaz. I am so thankful that I am able to report another successful surgery for Dr.Fayaz. I asked him if he could put things back together to give me at least another ten years or so of mobility and ability to function and I believe that he has. It is with the same confidence that I would have accepted his assessment if he had decided that surgery were not necessary. Dr.Fayaz tries very diligently to do what is best for the patient. He has a very professional team to assist him at the hospital that allows him to provide a very strong work product as well as using the most up to date procedures. It is an unique experience to meet someone in this day and age of “cook book medicine “ to find someone who seeks to do what is best for each patient. The office staff, both Amanda and Frances are so supportive and helpful. Thank you so much Dr.Fayaz and staff!

I came to Dr. Fayaz for a second opinion after going to another office several times over the course of 7 months and getting nowhere. It was SO REFRESHING to be in an office where they listen to your concerns and then make a plan to resolve your pain and functional issues. He is always positive and reassuring. I love the small office where everyone there knows you!

Dr. Fayaz is awesome!!! He has been amazing throughout my time with him. He is very professional, speaks in layman terms (for those that don't speak doctor) and has a wonderful bedside manner. Super thorough and made sure he knew actually what was wrong with me before he made a surgical decision. Couldn't be happier with him!!

Dr. Fayaz and his support staff are true medical professionals. I require my health care professionals to have the necessary education/experience and a high level of availability. Dr. Fayaz has a wealth of surgical experience and his support staff was prompt with my needs. The team at the Brain and Spine Institute of North Houston are thorough and do not rush into surgery unless absolutely necessary. At the time I write this review I have been in recovery from back surgery for 2 months. The pain I experienced pre-op is almost non-existent which has greatly improved my quality of life physically and mentally. If you are experiencing sciatic nerve pain from a lower back injury I would like no further.

When an MRI revealed I must have back surgery or risk permanent possible damage to my spinal cord, I was referred to a Dr. Fayaz by my son. From the first call I made, through the pre-op phase, surgery phase and post-op phase, I could not have imagined better treatment and most importantly, an operation by an extremely skilled and seasoned surgeon that has freed me from the constant back pain I've been dealing with for years. This is my first posting ever, since I'm generally hard to please, but I do so with great pleasure and can't say enough wonderful things about my surgeon, Dr. Fayaz and his world class staff.

Dr. Fayaz and his staff went above and beyond to accommodate all my needs. Besides being a superb neurosurgeon, Dr. Fayaz is a great communicator. He took his time to explain in details every aspect of my spine concerns, he is patient and a good listener, he took a time to explain in details my MRI results and came up with the type of surgery that brings the best results with the minimally invasive surgery and, therefore, minimum damage to my spine and respective muscles and ligaments. Hi is a surgeon that has your best interest in mind even if that means more difficulties for him to perform a surgery. He is a doctor with a high level of integrity, he truly cares about his patients before and after surgery and maintains pleasant, productive and friendly relationship with his patients. I can safely recommend Dr. Imran Fayaz and his staff to everyone with spine surgery needs, starting with my closest family members and friends. He is one of a kind.

I have been a patient of Dr. Fayaz since 2015 and have had several spine surgeries. I will always use Dr. Fayaz as long as he is practicing. He takes his time and never makes you feel as though you are keeping him from his work. His staff are the best. They are not only friendly but always ready to help. I will always be grateful that I found him when I needed a neurosurgeon.

I struggled with back pain for many years, and tried injections until they no longer worked. I started becoming "locked" up whenever I would bend over and could not get back up. I saw Dr. Fayaz and he was able to diagnose my issues correctly. He conducted spinal fusion surgery for L3 to S1. Due to me having rheumatoid arthritis, Dr. Fayaz was very cognizant of my condition and opted to perform the "minimally invasive" TLIF to help me heal faster (which put more work on him during surgery). I'm in the healing process now, but all is going well and I can tell the shooting nerve pain down my legs has subsided. I would recommend Dr. Fayaz and his awesome staff to anyone with a back condition, as his work can change your life, as it did mine.

If I could give this doctor 0 stars, I would. Very rude, un-empathetic staff. Doctor Fayaz, if you are reading this review, I ask you to call me as your staff will not let me speak to you. Office overcharged me $130.00 for an co-pay. When my insurance company paid, I expected to receive a check back for my overpayment. I have called every month since July 2021, it is now March 2022. Francis, the office manger says she is going to issue payment every time I call, but has not. I can only warn others to stay away as you are not financially ethical in your business practice.
