Nelson Tajong's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Tajong is an exceptional doctor but his billing department refused to return phone calls and answer questions regarding my overpayment (for over a month). They charged me out of pocket for procedures that my insurance company said I only owed a copay for, and refused to refund my funds unless I put a debit card on file at their office. They would not let me speak to an office manager or the doctor. When I had my bank reverse the charges, I was informed by his receptionist that they would no longer see me as a patient. This is very disappointing because Dr. Tajong has been my doctor for several years and he is very good at what he does. I’m hoping that this review will bring the problems with his office staff and billing department to his attention.

Wish I could give him 5 stars but my husband never got the opportunity to see him. The lady in the front office was sweet and did everything she could do help obtain records today. This is the only reason why it is not a 1 star review. Dr. Tajong had both records and insurance information and refused to see my husband due to seeing another gastro doctor almost two years ago. Dr. Tajong had appointment availability for next week and I did everything I could to obtain records so we can save this spot in order for my husband to be seen ASAP. Since my husband was appointed a Doctor in the emergency room and it was not a Doctor he could just choose, Dr. Nelson REFUSED to see a patient of another Doctor even though it has been almost two years since his gallbladder surgery. The clinic had an appointment for June 9th and even if my husbands symptoms needed a gastro doctor sooner, the original Doctor who performed his operation does not have availability until JULY 13TH! So don't call this doctor if you had another operation done. Even if it has been over a year. You will just waste your time.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Tajong’s for 3+ years. When others could not find my gastric bleeding he did and literally saved my life. IMO he’s the best.

I have never found a Dr. Or staff more welcoming and caring. I cant give enough praise for them.

I have been a patient with Dr Tajong for over 12 years. Excellent doctor, great patient/doctor collaboration, caring, and responsible for saving my life and maintaining my health. I have a severe health condition and without this doctor I would not be alive today. He is very knowledgeable and has an amazing nurse name Jennifer. Highly recommend him for colonoscopies and or lifelong gastroenterologist care.

Called after hours and canceled my appointment the night before my appointment after waiting for a week to see him while I'm having a life threatening flare up of diverticulitis saying that he couldn't see me because I'd seen another GI in the last 3 years. Absolutely ridiculous and totally uncaring and unprofessional. Run away from him as fast as you can.

Schedule an appointment with Dr. Tajong and had all my medical records sent over two weeks before my appointment. Got to my appointment on time checked in they charge me my co-pay. They put me in a room, Dr. Tajong came in and I started telling what had been going on with my colon And he stated I don’t do second opinions. Why didn’t they tell me that when I schedule my appointment and had all my records sent to his office? I think it’s insurance fraud he just wanted to collect my money and had no regards as to my condition or my needs. Worst experience I’ve ever had with the doctor would not recommend him beeare he’s into insurance fraud

I really love this Dr. very caring. I will highly recommend him. Staff was very friendly as well.
