List of W. Cooper Buschemeyer's Reviews
*I have amended my original review: as of 8/8/2023... *I will also update the review after my Husband's next visit {possibly late September}... My Husband is a 93-yr old Veteran, who has been assigned to Dr. Willian Cooper Buschemeyer lll MD. through the Veterans Community Care Program. I'm responsible for my Husband's Healthcare Facilitation; therefore, I attend "All" doctors visits with him; he is unable to remember the details of the post visit assessments, suggestions, and doctors instructions on his own. Dr. Willian Cooper Buschemeyer, lll MD, refused to allow me to accompany my Husband during his visit with the doctor. Prior to this appointment, while waiting in the waiting room for this appointment, I bore witness to: a Daughter accompanying a Mother, a Husband accompanying a Wife, a Wife accompanying a Husband, to appointments with Dr. Willian Cooper Buschemeyer, lll MD. Unfortunately for my Husband and me, I was forced to wait outside in the waiting room. *I've been informed that this is a standard policy they have with all patients, and that it was not a circumstance of singling us out... I was not permitted to participate or even be informed of afterwards, about the care of my Husband. Upon completion of my Husband's appointment, {at 93-yrs of age}, he did not remember the doctors assessment of the visit. I pleaded with the doctors staff, to reiterate the assessment to my Husband and myself; they flat refused. I then pleaded with the doctors staff, to ask the doctor to speak with us for a few moments; they asked him {he was standing in the hallway, about 20ft away}; he adamantly refused to speak with us, and disappeared down the hallway. *We met with the doctor today; hopefully, my Husband's care and our experience will improve, we are both encouraged: to be continued...
I gave this urologist office a rating of “1” as on the scale this is the lowest number I could choose. This rating is mostly based on lack of customer service and lack of attention. There does not appear to be communication between staff as well as truthful communication from staff to patient. I do not feel I need to share what happened with me as a patient. However, I do not believe I am the only patient who has received the lack of attention and communication and care that I received as a paying patient. Secondly, staff were too busy to give me the proper treatment, care and dignity I deserved and needed as a patient. Always in a rush. I was a number in a pile or stack of papers on somebody’s desk. I also strongly feel I was treated as a charity case rather than a paying customer. They wanted me to view them as if Dr. Buschemeyer is the only practicing urologist in this area. They got to me when they got to me and were full of excuses why they could not properly perform accordingly to what they told me. The receptionist/secretary or maybe her title is scheduler asked me to give this office a second chance. I said emphatically, “NO!!” I know the names of everyone involved in this saga. I do not recommend this urology office to any who needs a urologist until changes can be made as far as giving the needed attention and detail to the patient. Other patients may have received the care and attention they needed but I didn’t. My referring PCP has been informed of this incident. I have made the choice to do business with one of the many other practicing urologists who practice in this area . I hope Dr. Buschemeyer reads this review and makes needed and necessary changes for the betterment of his practice. I believe him to be a good doctor. A good doctor is only as strong as the provided customer service and staff who back his work. If he cares about his reviews and his practice, Dr . Buschemeyer will hold his staff accountable for incidents such as mine.
Waited over an hour with my husband. I ended up leaving before doctor showed up… the staff never bothered to check in or let us know what was holding him up. No respect for your time… I should have paid attention to his terrible reviews. Don’t waste your time coming here, go somewhere else.
My experience with Dr. Buschemeyer is the opposite of the female and male Karen's. He has gone above and beyond with performing and setting up appointments for testing for my problem. Other Doctors that I have been to were quick to mention surgery and selling a apparatus or the UroLift procedure. In my case Dr Buschemeyer is trying to find the root cause of my problem and has not once mentioned surgery. I appreciate the fact that he is taking the time to fix my problem.
I waited for over an hour past my appointment time to see Dr. Buschemeyer. I finally decided to leave as I do have work to do. This doctor will clearly have no respect for your time. Be advised if you decide to schedule an appointment here.
Worst Dr. by far that I have ever dealt with. Staff was very unorganized, equipment was old and did not work correctly, felt as if I was treated by a third country medical office. I could go on and on. I can assure that this place is far from HIPPA compliant from what I saw and hear while in their office.
Interesting dynamic with this urologist. Definitely not patient centric. Cindy (admin asst), and Morgan (front desk help, apparently very new) have zero patient care skills and treat you like a number. Dr. will NOT answer any questions or return a call and staff will patronize the F out of you to make themselves feel in control, when in reality without patients they would working temp jobs. You have to pay for an office visit or telemed visit to ask a question. You read that right. The front desk bobblehead seems to spend more time on Snap or IG or talking about celebrities to her coworkers than she does working - I guess she thinks the 1/4" glass is soundproof. Once you actually get to the Dr. (and it is a painful process to deal with the rude "help"), you get a genuinely nice doctor who seems overcommitting. It's hard not to like the guy, he just doesn't seem to really have the right support staff to allow him to actually grow what could be a great business.
Only Dr. that could figure out my UTI's. He is also up on all the latest technology. Great doctor!
I’m not sure anymore. I have bladder infections and my first visit his PA saw me and was very good. She called after the culture came back and quickly changed my meds. She also showed me the results in the follow up. 1 year later I go back with the same problem but see Bushmeyer. He didn’t even have my chart that shows I am a cancer survivor. Called in an antibiotic and haven’t heard from anyone since. Still hurting 1 week later. I’m calling myself Monday to see what the culture showed. Feel like it was no big deal to him. I’ll change doctors. I too was told someone would schedule a car scan but no one ever called me. I’m used to the doctors setting up these things.
Dr. Buschemeyer himself was very attentive and understanding about my needs. I had to have Lithotripsy and he answered my questions and helped me to be at ease. His nurse, Rachel is amazing! She was able to email and call me with any questions I had. He personally called me day of surgery to let me know it had been canceled. The reason I give 1??Star is not because of the medical care I received, but because of the disorganization of the office staff, right down to scheduling of my surgery/procedure and billing. I had multiple interactions with the staff and even helped with the “footwork”, gathering documents for the procedure (s) itself. Granted it was difficult scheduling during November/December ( I will give them that ) but my December procedure was never preformed due to office staff not being able to obtain a release for anesthesia ??. To date they have not reimbursed for my deposit $250 I have had to file complaint with Cigna and my bank! They need to get it together. IMO

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
