Aftab Mahmood's Online Review Report Card

Shout out to Jennifer, Shay and staff at Dr. Mahmood's office. They were kind and compassionate from our first phone call. I have been searching for a hematology doctor for a little over a month. I got in right away for a visit, and Dr. Mahmood was kind and came up with a plan to proceed with my treatment.I am looking forward to future visits.

Dr. Mahmood is a great doctor. Willing to talk to you and listen to your problems. I would highly recommend him.

Was referred to Dr. Mahmood to collaborate with MD Anderson. They called to tell me I had no need to see Dr. Mahmood since I would be going to MDA. I called to request to see him and receptionist hung up on me and told my PCP that I declined! RUDE..Staff is rude, no comment on Dr. Mahmood since i wasn't able to meet him.

Dr Mahmood is great. He has kept me alive since 2007. I have stage 4 prostate cancer. I still feel good and expect he will keep me alive for several years to come.. I appreciate him more than he will ever know. Allan Tureson

If you want to get poor customer service and fight for what you need medically than go to Dr. Aftab Mahmoods. My Wife needed an iron fusion urgently for over a month during pregnancy with critically low iron levels. After weeks of a simple iron infusion needing to be ordered, we had to call and go back and forth with nurse Wendy about things like the insurance hasn't responded the infusion center hasn't responded, excuse after excuse. More like she was to busy or to lazy to pick up a phone and make it happen efficiently. Eventually contacted the "Office manager". No immediate resolve. After calling with no answer a few mornings later, we ended up directly calling the infusion center that was supposedly the reason for the hold up, only to find out thatthat the incorrect iron infusion was ordered days ago, they had contacted them back to let them know, and Mahmoods office hadn't replied. I feel bad for Dr. Mahmood because his staff is ruining his name. Maybe their aren't enough options in town so they are just used to collecting insurance, but wow. This is the health field. Efficiently in these matters is something to be expected.

Dr. Mahmood is extremely caring, knowledgeable and skilled when it comes to treating his patients. I trust him completely and Corpus Christi and I are so lucky to have him here.

Without Dr Mahmouds prompt, expert treatment, I would not be here today, after being diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer in June 2018. It is now September 2020 and I am doing very well. He is one of the most caring and compassionate doctors I’ve ever seen and I am a retired RN. My cancer is not cured, but the quality and length of my life have been greatly improved since first meeting him.

Ive been seeing Dr MAHMOOD for over 3 years and he is an excellent Dr and he also has an excellent staff especially the nurses administering Chemo. They are always understanding and don't hesitate to help you in anyway to make your treatment better. Special thanks to Lilly and Ashley
