I saw Dr. Brackett last year I was having problems with bleeding hemorrhoids he said last year he would operate me .Then again the same problem this year he places rubber bands 3 times and he talks me out of surgery.

Dr. Fred Brackett excised a portion of my mom's large intestine. When the surgery was over, he did not come out and advise her family members how it went. After repeated attempts to contact him, 3 days after the surgery we were finally able to get ahold of him by phone, but only through the hospital intervening on our behalf. He became angry that we dared to contact him. He called me names, yelled over the phone, and, among other things, called me a son-of-a-b**** and a GD mother*****r. He yelled at me that "Medicare does not pay me to consult with patient's family members!". Ultimately, I advised him that he could tell me how the surgery went over the phone or I could come down to the surgery area of the hospital, where he was, and he could tell me face-to-face. At which point, he decided to tell me how much colon was excised and the fact that he had removed her spleen. And then he hung up on me.I won't characterize Dr. Brackett or the service he provided. I encourage you to draw your own conclusions from my interaction with him as detailed above.

Literally any other doctor would be better. Uses outdated methods. AWFUL bedside manner. Screams at patients and staff.

Dr. Brackett was kind, understanding and very capable. He took care of my problem in a prompt manner. I will be seeing him again for a return visit. He will be doing a colonoscopy for my husband soon. We were very pleased.

this man has the bedside manner of a dish rag refuses to listen to his Pt. and thinks he is GOD. Miss Diagnosed and treated for a condition that never existed. has been reprimended by the Texas Medical Board LOOK IT UP
