We drove three hours to see Dr Bishop and I am so glad we did. The staff was so professional. My son just had his surgery two weeks ago and the recovery is going fast. They called me several times before the surgery to keep me informed of what to expect before and after the surgery.Thank you for the wonderful treatment we received. Excellent Doctor.

Receptionist is very unprofessional. Speaks in a rude tone and has a very sour attitude towards everyone. Tells me they're the only one that accepts my type of insurance then tells me if I miss the appointment they'll refuse to see my son ever again so "good luck finding someone else". If your gonna deal with Children your going to have to have a better attitude especially with such a simple job!

First impression, I walked in and the carpet was dirty like it hadn't been vacuumed. Also the white cloth covering one of the machines was very dirty. It looked like it had never been washed and was grabbed in the same spot Everytime with a dirty hand. My daughter has high anxiety when it comes to the dilation drops. She was upset and when he went to look at her eyes with the light she closed them . Instead of communicating that she needs to open her eyes or he will have to hold them open he pulled her top eye lid up, not painful but just uncomfortable. She panicked even more because her eye was being forced open... Over all experience was bad.

We were give a referral to Dr. Bishop who is listed as a provider under our BCBSTX insurance. However he isn't "happy with the contract" he has with BCBSTX and they refuse anyone who has the insurance.

There are no words to explain the level of professionalism, knowledge ability, care and compassion that Dr. Bishop and his staff provide. You receive top notch, quality care from the front desk all the way to the back of the office. Dr. Bishop and his staff provided the most excellent care for my autistic, non-verbal six year-old son. Even in the midst of being extremely busy, his staff makes sure you still have all questions answered, that you feel comfortable and they always greet you with kindness and a smile. I work in healthcare as a nurse and I can honestly say that offices like Dr. Bishop's are hard to come across these days. I highly recommend Dr. Bishop and his staff, especially for those with special needs that others refuse to evaluate.

The staff can be more friendly but dr Bishop is the best eye doctor for both of my boys that have a disability and they don’t really like to get checked he makes it fun for them I drive 2:30 hours to see him but it is well worth it!!
