He told me he could help me with the severe sciatica going down my left leg but not my back pain. I appreciated his honesty. Dr. B did the surgery and for the first time in 13 years I could walk without the horrible pain going down my leg into my left foot!

Dr. Borkowski is great, his PA and nursing staff are awesome. The front office and billing office staff not so great. Know your insurance and deductibles. Don't let them bully you into paying if you have met your out of pocket and deductibles. They took their sweet time refunding me.

The first time I went to see John for a ruptured disc, he showed me and explained why I didn’t need surgery. After several years and reinjuring myself again, I went back for another consultation. Circumstances had changed, and I had exhausted other non surgical approaches. He was clear and concise. The procedure went smooth here in Corpus, and I was home that same day. Started PT one month later, and was back in the water surfing within 4 months time. 1.5 years later and surfing at my full potential, I remain pain free and able to live life without reservation. Thank you John! You know how appreciated you are. 👏🏽

He is awesome Dr. He did three disc in my neck and relieved all my problems from my arms and hands back in 2018. I'm scheduled for spine surgery on this friday. same problems that i had with my arms and hands. Pain managements and injections did not work nor physical therapy. I hope he does the miracle again!!!!

Overall a good experience with seeing him. He explained everything to me including the two herniated disks and explained some things to avoid if possible. Finally he put me on some meds and referred me to pain management and a therapist. Now the VA messed that part up, but that isn't his fault and am now finally seeing both.

I’m an anesthesiologist and have worked with all types of surgeons in all types of settings. I have not been a patient of Dr. Borkowski or any other spine surgeon. Luckily. This review is based on what I see in the line of duty. This guy is a no nonsense skilled surgeon. Period. He is skillfully efficient, ultra conservative, and dynamically experienced. This is exactly what one would want when in need of spine care. I’ve read some negative reviews about his interpersonal skills … be that as it may… those things are irrelevant when that surgeon is elbow deep in your spinal cord. There are plenty of therapist that can help with emotional needs. When it comes to surgical needs, I’d look no further. Highly recommend.
