List of MIchael Montgomery's Reviews
I became a patient after a broken wrist. I have called his office several times (4 ) finally received a call back yesterday. Have called for meds to be refilled and still waiting ( after a month) no call back yet. Guess he’s ( Dr Montgomery) is a good Dr. He has horrible bedside manner ( in my opinion ) , gives the impression your concerns don’t matter.
Communication skills lacking. Does not answer questions. Does not seem informed. Hard to believe he’s an orthopedic specialist.
The nurse in his office told me he was an orthopedic surgeon specialized in sports medicine when clearly he’s not. He wanted to put me in a walking boot with a fracture. I can’t even touch my ankle, I certainly can’t walk in a boot. It looks like they use this internal med doctor to screen surgical patients. I need an orthopedic doctor, I will go to San Antonio. If I wanted to see an internal med doctor, I would have booked with one.
Dr. Montgomery did fine for my broken arm. He explained what was wrong and the treatment plan to me. Very comfortable with his mannner and prognosis. I would use him again if I have need.
My son was in bad auto accident with fracture bone and knee injuries. Extent of knee injury expected be unknown for at least a month. Dr. Montgomery gave him crutches and a release to work,. Oh but be back in four weeks to see if you can walk without crutches. Give me a break oh you are.
Terrible...went in for soft tissue knee injury. After waiting two hours had x-rays. He NEVER looked at the place of injury (swelling, yellow color). He said it was probably a sciatic nerve? This morning I called the office to find out if the x-ray covered soft tissue. They said only bone. Bone was never my real concern. He really didn't listen to anything I tried to tell him.
I waited two hours. But, it is the care I felt was under par. He did not listen to me. He didn't mention what the x-ray showed or if it even showed soft tissue. Tomorrow I am going to call for copies and see someone else. If he was 'correct' I will come on here and apologize. But, he did not tell me anything really. It was ridiculous.
Terrible. Dangerous actually.
I had to pay a visit to Dr. Michael Montgomery for a knee injury. Upon my arrival, I was contacted by the staff at the front desk. They quickly collected my information and in about 15 minutes, I was on my way to get x-rays. After that, I was escorted to an examination office and waited for the doctor. My wait was about another 15 minutes. Not bad considering that I did not have an appointment. That's right, I was a walk-In and I was seen in no time at all! Dr. Montgomery evaluated me and made his recommendations. He was professional, courteous, and very attentive. His staff was also courteous, professional and caring. I highly recommend Dr. Montgomery to anyone needing prompt, professional attention! Thank you Dr. Montgomery and thank you to each and every staff member that assisted me during my visit.
I used South Texas Bone and Joint before and they were great . I hurt my I broke my fibula and ankle and Dr.Montgomery did 5 xrays over 8 weeks of healing . Finally did MRI and I had another fracture he did not see . I cannot move my toes and was released

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
