Appointment at 11:15. After 30 minutes I asked how long the wait. The Secretary said I'd wait 1 additional hr then another 45 minutes post dilation. So my total waiting time was to be 90 minutes! I said I was uncomfortale w a 135 minute waiting rm stay. I left, they called me rt back saying they were now suddenly ready for me. We're in COVID 19! 135 minutes is TOO LONG! The laser surgery went very well. I can see & that's wonderful! Yet I feel like this Dr & other's here in CC are impatient. I am not an unruly child, I have questions. Drs, you may guess patients get nervous over laser beams to the eyes. Be compassionate, not merely technical & $ driven.

Dr. Avet and his entire staff have been so kind to me and completely tended to my needs over the last few years. I had a terrible infection in my eye a year ago and Dr. Avet made sure I had the best treatment. They fit me into the schedule every time I was in pain. I am so grateful for them and I will continue to seen in the office!!

Dr Avet did my bil cataracts surgery and I am very pleased with him! Has a great bedside manner! The staff was very friendly and very helpful too!

I'm not sure what all the negative comment are about, so I want to set the record straight. I have been seeing Dr. Avet since he first established his practice at Corpus Christi Eye Associates, probably about 25 years. During this time, Dr Avet has been professional, easy going and very informative. He is always willing to answer my questions and to provide his expert advice.

Dr Avet removed cataracts from both eyes and I am so grateful to him. He took the time to sit and listen to any questions and concerns I had. He is my hero. I can not tell you how very happy I am that Dr Avet did my surgery

Dr. Avet removed cataracts in both eyes. I was diagnosed at an early age with poor vision and needed to wear "coke bottle" glasses or contacts in order to function. I now see more clearly than I have seen in my lifetime. His precise and careful replacement of my natural lens with artificial lens has significantly improved my quality of life.

Always very kind and very professional. Made me feel very comfortable. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Avet!

My husband called this morning about an appointment later this week.He had me by the speaker phone and we waited several minutes and were cut off without any answer.He called back this afternoon(5-4-20)at 4:15 on speaker phone and the person answering said "please hold"and never came back after 10 minutes.He called again,and was cut off again the same way.He called a FOURTH time on speakerphone and a guy from an answering service answered who was a poor listener.By then,my husband was fuming about the "no excuse for horrendous patient care"we were received..All of this transpired,the first call at 10 am and the other four between 4:15 and 4:40 pm during regular hours.Evidently,our time is worthless.The message was loud and clear.I can't believe I could not get a yes or no answer about the appointment.Over 30 minutes on the phone five times ,when an answer would take seconds at most.Very disappointing.Our problem was not with the doctor,but the staff was completely inept.

I have been going to Dr. Avet for about nine years. At that time I had damaged one eye. He sent me to a specialist and they took care of my eye. Since then I have been seeing Dr. Avet on a regular bases. I have had two surgeries to remove caterac. I felt very comfident in the Dr. He explained everything very clearly. His office staff was also very helpful. I would recommend Dr. Avet and his staff to my friends and family. I have been very happy with my surgeries.

I have been Dr. Avet's patient for over 5 years. I first visited him when glaucoma was suspected. He confirmed I had glaucoma and prescribed a medication which has keep my eye pressure at a sustainable accepted level. I visit him every 6 months. During his examinations he found I had cataracts in both eyes. He informed me on cataract development as the problem intensified. The results of his examinations in combination with deteriorating vision convinced me to move forward with the first cataract surgery, which was carried out with minimal discomfort, resulting in 20 20 vision. I have scheduled surgery on the other eye and am looking forward to soon having excellent vision in both. I recommend Dr. Avet to all who need cataract surgery. His profesional ability made the procedure very easy for me. His bedside manner is friendly and compassionate.
