Stephen A. Turner's Online Review Report Card

I have gone to Dr . Turner for about 8 years. I am very pleased with his staff, time he takes to explain answers to my questions , knowledge and personal attention. I have recently moved out of the area and know that I will have a hard time replacing him as my cardiologist !

I have seen several heart specialist in TX thru the years, but I always come back to Dr. Turner! He is the most educated and the most honest of all of the Dr's. I have ever met. He is sincere about his answers, and if he honestly does not know the answer he will tell you that, but he will also tell you I will find out and that give him time and he will find the answer.?

Staff was nice and I was treated very fast. Dr. Berrios was nice and great to know he is from Puerto Rico his politeness made me feel very welcome and we even chatted about our islands.

Either the staff does not know what they are doing, or they are racists. My PCP faxed them the referral and my records over 2 weeks ago. The staff said it would take a couple of days to process and they would call me to set up my first appointment. Two weeks later I called them and they claim my records were never received. Bull!! I have now wasted 3 weeks of waiting to see Dr. Turner and to move forward with a procedure I need done ASAP. Thanks medically challenged people!

I was new to the Corpus Christi area when I needed a Cardiologist. Dr. Turner was recommended. I could not be more happy!! Very personable and great bedside manner. Listens to his patients!

Dr Turner is the second cardiologist that I have seen here is Texas. Well rounded, listens, reviews existing medical reports and gets the the root cause without delay. The funniest thing was I was on my way to the hospital for a procedure and the cab driver said, "you are in excellent hands", as the cab driver himself had been treated by Dr. Turner as well, small world!!

When my father was sick he was very polite, helpful and caring. I would definitely recommend Dr. Turner to my friends and family.

Great Doctor which has taken care of my heart and allowed me to enjoy my retirement.

Don't waste your time with him, if he can't even keep his staff in line. When you try to call for an appointment, if he is on vacation, just consider your family member non important and they won't let your family member see another doctor within the practice! "The Don't do that!" Then you have a charge nurse that is rude and I was told the "Office Manager" was good about returning calls when I expressed my concern and what a surprise I never got a call back. Then when I was trying to tell the "Charge Nurse" my experience at a hospital over the weekend, she would never let me complete my statements, assumed I was talking about her and hung up on me. I called back and asked if she is still going to ask the doctor if they could work me in the following week when the doctor got back in, but as I expected, since she hung up on me, she took it out on my family member and never called back the following week. I am glad the HEART is non an important matter, oh wait, IT IS!!!! She really needs to take a vacation and come back ready to treat patients with dignity and respect and some sort of compassion or find a new occupation.
