List of Attiya Khan's Reviews
Dr. Khan has been my cardiologist for about 6 years. She definitely listens to me and hears my concerns and then addresses them. She has adjusted my medications, she had added to those medications. And now I feel so much better and I am able to do things I couldn't do for a number of years. Another thing I really appreciate is that the waiting room time is not very long. I have been to doctor's waiting rooms before that took 2+ hours to actually see the doctor. Not so with Dr. Khan. I believe her staff doesn't overbook, so waiting room time is very short, especially compared to other doctors. That also makes me feel that Dr. Khan values my time. The office staff is also very friendly and helpful.
Khan scheduled me for a stress test during a meeting she had with someone else. She was very brief with the results and quick to leave the room during prior appointments. The wait times to see her were far longer and more memorable than the times we actually spoke. Honestly felt like she wanted out of the room as fast as possible and I wasn't worth her time. Not very personable and doesn't really explain in-depth about anything. Felt more like business than medical care. Thankful for the positive results, but I wouldn't recommend her at all. Her staff was great to me and the only quality I remember.
I was referred to Dr. Kahn by my physician. I don't think I could have been more disappointed. My visit was a complete waste of time and money. The majority of the staff was pleasant; however, I found Dr. Khan to be abrasive and lacking in interpersonal skills. After two hours of waiting & having test performed she simply told me to keep doing what my doctor (referring physician) told me to do. I was dumbfounded. You completely wasted my time and had absolutely nothing else to offer? Never again.
I was referred to Cardiology by my Primary and came to the appointment with all the records and possible information to make this meeting with Dr. Khan a success. Her staff was a delight; so pleasant and welcoming. However, the moment Dr. Khan walked in, she was abrasive and made me feel I was a waste of her time. She was not fully listening but already jumping for answers that could not yet possibly exist. I can not even use the summary her office provided as everything critical to proceed with a second opinion was left BLANK; both lazy and unprofessional.
The majority of Dr. Khan's staff is mediocre. Dr. Khan was less than attentive. I was asked questions, but was made to feel like I wasn't being truthful. I was told to follow up with my PCP for refills of a medication Dr.Khan prescribed, which is not a problem except when there wasn't an available appointment for 2 plus weeks. I followed up with Dr. Khan's office today to get a refill until I can get in to see my PCP. Hope the nurse, was rude and condescending trying to explain that Dr. Khan referred me back to my PCP. I tried explaining that there were no available appointments until Monday. I even waited until I only had 2 pills to make sure an appointment didn't become available with my PCP. I dont appreciate the way I was spoken to and the unwillingness to actually listen to your patients. I kniw these reviews usually dont mean a hill of beans to providers, but they should!
She might be able to save your life if you are having a heart attack but she did not help me. She actually was not listening to me and missed the fact I had Atrial Fib. Also prescribed me medicine I was having side effects and was very narcissistic about it. I left to another doctor. Beware she will blackball you in the office visit notes she keeps or at least she did to me. I asked for copies. No wonder the other doctor was hesitant. He had the records from her office.
I thank Dr. Attiya Khan for my 8th year since she saved my life. Let’s be perfectly clear, I am biased because am alive. I feel that I am in better care with her because I can discuss freely and honestly about any questions. Many which have led to common ground regarding various testing & medicine choices/dosing. These choices have improved my health and extended my life. I completely endorse both Dr. Attiya Khan and her staff at Northwest Cardiology Consultants.
I have been a patient of Dr A.Khan’s since 1996. I cannot say enough about how much l trust and rely on her truthfulness to not only me but Dr Khan treated my mother and I’ve recommended others. Dr Khan saved my life
What an absolutely horrible experience. I have never been treated so rudely, been disrespected and demeaned and berated as much as this physician has. What a poor excuse for a health professional. Look for another cardiologist that will actually take good care of you and your wellbeing. How can someone with heart problems be put through this much emotional distress during an office visit???? Dr. Khan actually worsened my heart condition After my last office visit. I’ll be looking for another cardiologist that will live up to the expectations of a good physician. There are way too many cardiologist in Houston to get this kind of service.
She was extremely rude, she has no bedside manners, telling me, I'm fat, and very crass in her delivery of medical advice and patient care. She seems to have a superiority complex.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
