List of Brandon Isaacson Md's Reviews
Took great care of our kid for years. Including 3 surgeries and years of specialist care. Very thorough and practical in treatment of the ears.
Good afternoon, today I underwent an ear surgery with Dr. Brandon Isaacson and his team. Within 2 hours of my surgery, I was able to fend for myself and present a stable condition. Thanks to the timely care and precautions taken by Dr Isaacson Brandon's surgical team. Preoperative and postoperative care was crucial to the success of the operation.
Dr Isaacson is the best and I am so glad I was able to get my son's surgery done with him. He is an excellent physician, very knowledgeable and has great bedside manner. He is a very skilled surgeon and provides the very best for his patients. I flew my son all the way from Raleigh, North Carolina to UT southwestern Dallas to get his surgery done by Dr Isaacson and it's the best decision I have made. He and his staff have been very supportive all throughout and ensured that my son got the best case ever!!
My eardrum repair surgery was a complete failure. Because of the great reviews on here, I traveled from Austin to Dallas just to be operated by him. He let at least part of the surgery be performed by his student (without my knowledge). All I vaguely remember is that they made me sign something when I was already under IV and sedated. So basically they charged my insurance and also used me as their guinea pig. A real win for them! . Also, I was asked to show up for surgery at 7AM, but wasn't actually operated on until around 11 AM. So I was under IV for all those hours. After the negative surgical experience, I reached out to him to get some answers. He was very defensive, and practically yelled at me. I could have done much better going to a local doctor in Austin. Incidentally, I would give him zero stars if I can.
Dr. Issacson changed my life. When the other Dr. Said it couldn't be done I lost hope. Then I found Dr Issacson. I am forever grateful to him.
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Isaacson. After two doctors in different states (including my local Florida doctor and a surgeon from Massachusetts Eye & Ear) both told me that Dr. Isaacson was one of the best in the world (and one of only five doctors in the world who could perform my tympanoplasty endoscopically), I scheduled a consult with him. First he met with me virtually, then we took a road trip to Texas (avoiding planes bc of covid). He was absolutely fantastic and humble. I had been suffering for over a year and a half with chronic ear infections, and had a total perforation (meaning no eardrum left) which is more challenging to repair. I also had greatly diminished hearing and severe tinnitus. And I had a chronic fungal infection that existed on the day of surgery. Dr. Isaacson was very honest in explaining the risks and potential benefits of surgery. I finally decided to go forward with the surgery and I'm extremely thankful for the care that I received throughout my one day stay at the hospital. Everyone was exceptional, extremely caring and careful. Dr. Isaacson performed the surgery endoscopically, which meant no cutting behind my ear. I'm 3.5 months post op now. My hearing has greatly improved and my tinnitus, while slower to improve, has improved a lot. I now have more and more days when I can barely hear the tinnitus sound, and I'm becoming more optimistic that the sound will not continue bothering me. (Dr Isaacson was honest in telling me that the surgery may or may not help my tinnitus, so the improvement has been extremely welcome.) My fungal infection is also gone. I'm back under the care of my local doctor and he says the graph looks great. If you need ear surgery, you should travel from wherever you live to see Dr. Isaacson. He's worth whatever effort that takes. He also tolerated a bunch of questions from me. Thank you Dr. Isaacson!!
My son had a Cochlear Implant left ear. Dr. Brandon Issacison is great. This trip will be the right side and it's been 8 years since the 1st one.
Excelente doctor mi hijo tenía un tumor en su oído y el le hizo cirugía no escuchaba y ya escucha 100 % recomendable 👍🏼♥️
He is by FAR the best. I was diagnosed with cholestatoma at age 8 i had 3 prior surgeries but it reoccurred and i was too nervous to go through it again and suffered for over a decade. And i found him by grace, this man listened and gave me time off to prepare. During the surgery they found more drainage than anticipated and he told my family not to worry it would be longer than they planned because he is a perfectionist. My mom said when he looked her and said that all of her worries went away. Perfectionist was an understatement i regained at least 45% more hearing out my right ear with no drainage, he is a miracle worker. I owe him my life and can never pay him back because its priceless.
My son had a tympanoplasty done by Dr. Isaacson. He performs it minimally invasive, which is why we came to Dr. Isaacson. Everything went perfect and surgery was a success. Dr. Isaacson comes across as very confident yet humble, and he is a leader in his field. We cannot thank him enough for everything.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
