List of C. Bradley Bowman's Reviews
Dr. Bowman botched my cataract surgery and refused to even apologize for the error, much less recognize that he made a mistake; he is extremely arrogant. He doesn't visit his patients in the pre-op room before surgery, so he has NO IDEA how they are being prepped. I seriously doubt he cares what they are going through before going under his knife. Further, the employees and contract personnel (including the anesthesiologists) at Park Hill Surgery Center in Fort Worth (which Dr. Bowman co-owns) are just as heartless and cold.
I was referred to Dr. Bowman for a possible lens exchange after a previous cataract surgery. I had about given up on being able to have good vision, until I saw Dr. Bowman. Both lenses have been exchanged and I can see better than I have in a year. I trust him and can't imagine trusting my eyes to anyone else but him.
Dr. Bowman did my cataract surgery in 2015, and again in the other eye in 2016. He has continued to be my eye doctor and I am pleased with the results! After some complications and other eye problems unrelated to the cataracts, I have trusted him every step of the way. Dr. Bowman is caring, personable, and takes the time to get to the problem, all while somehow managing to see a ton of patients each day. I am happy to have chosen cornea associates as opposed to the other big names in Dallas.
I came to Dr. Bowman from Austin, Texas, after finding his name on the Fuchs & Friends website. I needed cataract surgery and had been diagnosed with Fuchs Dystrophy, which I knew needed to be considered during any eye procedure, so I wanted a doctor who was highly rated for treating both. It was worth the trip - for both eyes. I'm very comfortable with him as my opthalmologist.
I'm a 59 year old male with no major health problems looking forward to my retirement years. I developed nuclear cataracts (clouding of the central portion of the lens) and started suffering very poor vision very quickly. The cataract surgeon I used did tell me that lens power selection would be difficult due to having prior RK eye surgery. After cataract surgery in both eyes I ended up with OS -2.00 OD +1.50, a 3.5 diopter imbalance which left me suffering from severe anisometropia (seeing double). My brain could not fuse the two images together, this left me with much anxiety, I was having trouble functioning at work, at everything. The cataract surgeon told me when he puts a lens in, it goes to your grave with you. I was told I could wear contact lenses for the rest of my life, or wait several months and attempt laser surgery. My wonderful Optometrist who failed 3 times trying to make eye glasses for me and this condition, referred me to Dr. Bowman. Dr. Bowman examined me and assured me that what I needed was something that not many Ophthalmologists will attempt, and IOL exchange. He removed the right IOL and replaced it with the proper power lens and now my brain is happy and I am happy. Dr. Bowman is a very confident, and competent eye surgeon. You can trust him with your sight.
Dr. Bowman is an excellent doctor with excellent skills. I have seen him for over twenty years when he first performed LASIK on my eyes. I had excellent results. I have since referred five or more people to him for either LASIK or cataract removal--all have been extremely satisfied. He is a nice, caring doctor and will make sure you have all your questions answered before proceeding and that that you are aware of the benefits and risks of the procedure being performed. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Bowman performed my corneal transplant in 2002 and the results were excellent. I've seen several different ophthalmologists through the years (I live over 100 miles from Dr. B, so I don't see him for routine visits) and they all comment on how good my transplant looks. Dr. Bowman is sometimes quick with his visits, but I've found that if I have my questions written down and ask them, that he always answers all of them. I rate him very high.
Dr. Bowman is the nicest doctor ever. I had lasik performed on my eyes by Dr. Harvey Carter but was never a candidate for Lasik. Dr. Bowman looked at my eyes and was quickly able to tell me what was going on with them, while Harvey wasted so much of my time making excuses as to why my vision was worse than before surgery. While Dr. Bowman did perform Intacs surgery and it did not get me back to prelasik vision, it at least stablized my eyes enough to finally be able to use glasses again and have functional vision. He answered every question i had and it all made so much sense. The other reviews on here, might have their doctors confused. I cannot see Dr. Bowman acting at all like any of those people say he did. Seriously, he is the doctor everyone goes to, to fix the mistakes of other doctors; he patiently answered all of my questions. While he couldnt completely undo all the horrible mess Carter made of my eyes, he was able to prevent it from getting worse n even make it a bit better.
Dr. Bowman was very personable and informative at my initial visit. Follow-ups after my 2 corneal transplants that he did were always rushed and brief. However, when I recently experienced a corneal rejection, I found him cocky, uncaring, rude, and in a hurry to leave. He blamed me for the rejection, saying I hadn't followed his orders. I followed his orders to a "T", however, and told him so. I would not, at this time, give him a high rating. This is one rude doctor with a heart cold as ice.
I was referred to Dr.Bowman by my optometrist for LASIK surgery. My optometrist told me that Dr.Bowman and his partners are the doctors that fix the mistakes that other doctors make. Dr.Bowman and his staff were very professional and I am absolutely thrilled with my LASIK result.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
