Carlos Bagley Md's Online Review Report Card

I would not recommend Dr Bagley. He recommended a second surgery that increased my pain and does not allow me to sit.

Basically, I was in a wheelchair getting worse by day, now I am back to normal!

Accompanied my wife who was the actual patient. I have not experienced a more efficient, informative, friendly, professional doctor visit ever. From the gentleman who met us at the door and took the personal info, to the PA, to Dr Bagley himself, to the discharge nurse. Kudos!!

Extremely impressed with Dr. Bagley! The office is very well managed and everyone we interacted with was impressive. I mentioned to a nurse on our way out how kind and thorough Dr. Bagley had been. She told me that he was very good to his staff also. Not only did he take time to listen to everything we had to say, he made it clear that he understood every concern. Absolutely recommend him. My husband’s medical issue had been extensively researched by us after receiving news from another neurosurgeon in Dallas that without surgery one wrong move could lead to him ending up a quadriplegic. Thankfully we found Dr. Bagley! He says no surgery, no threat of paralysis, physical therapy should help with the pain.The Mayo Clinic is reviewing the findings from the first doctor and from Dr. Bagley. I feel confident that they will concur with his recommendations. If not I will update this review.

I saw this Dr Bagley at Duke Spine Center and its all about the money and ruined my life as a single mother and tramatized my daughter seeing rods sticking out of my back!! PLEASE CHOOSE ANOTHER DR BC HE WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE AS HE DID MINE AND MY DAUGHTERS!!! He literally butterflied me like a piece of chicken bc my spine collasped on my organs and now i could lose a foot or feet or legs bc im in SOOOO MUCH PAIN !! My daughter is SOOO tramatized from what he did tooo ME !!!! He took off from Durham N.C. bc he knew he had ruined SOOO many peoples lives. CHOOSE ANOTHER DR BC HE TALKS A SMOOTH TALK BUT DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING !! I would NOT PUT A STAR IF I COULD MAKE IT GO THRU WITHOUT !!

Dr Bagley is wonderful. I am 79 and had severe lower back scoliosis. He put in 2 rods and 20 screws. I have no pain and walking is good. Without this surgery I would be in a wheelchair. I cannot day enough good stuff about dr Bagley.

Professional, caring and successful minimum invasion surgery.

I went in for pain in lower back and ended up with neck to tailbone surgery. My son noticed two days after surgery that I had a hump now on my shoulder. When I asked to see Dr. Bagley, I was told he never sees patients in hospital after surgery. Refused to see me until one month checkup. He said he would have to perform another surgery to correct problem and said I must have fallen to cause it, even though I wasn't allowed out of bed on my own. This time, when I woke up, my head was hanging forward facing the floor and again he refused to see me. When I saw him after a month and asked if he could repair this mess, he said ther was nothing wrong that I had to give it time to heal and the muscles have to strengthen.I have been to surgeons since who are recognized for performing surgeries to correct severe kyphosis in Tyler, Houston, and New York. They have all seen X-rays and say the same. He did such a poor job it can't be corrected. For Gods sake get someone else.

This Dr came from Duke ... Dr’s that come from other areas sometimes leave a past behind that isn’t good.. I’m one of them.. The North Carolina Medical board has or had 3 payouts on him over 75k... he should find a more suitable profession... my scars will last forever... stay away....Dr’s that injure people still bring in a lot of money for the hospitals....He chipped ( his words) a bone in my spine T10/11. Told me 13 months later..destroyed my spine.. didn’t give any resolution for help..
