My husband and I have both seen Dr. Smith. He takes his time and explains everything. The office staff is polite and professional. When my husband had a sudden change in his vision, he called and was seen the same day. You feel like they actually care about your vision health! Fantastic.
I have been a patient of Dr. Smith’s for over 30 years. I arrived for my appointment yesterday, only to be told by the long time receptionist that they would not accept my insurance. When I made the appointment the receptionist should have asked me if I had any changes to my insurance, like MOST DOCTOR’S OFFICES DO WHEN YOU MAKE THE APPOINTMENT!!! This would have saved me an hour + drive to get there!!! And, by the way I offered to pay for my office visit and was told I could not do that!!!
I have been a patient of Dr. Smith for more than 30 years. He is THE BEST. He answers questions and takes his time. My recent cataract surgery went exceedingly well. His office staff has been with him for many years and are helpful and knowledgeable. I trust his judgement implicitly.
Dr. Smith and his staff were very nice. I have gone to him multiple times for different eye issues and have always had a great experience!
I can't say I had a great experience with Dr. Smith/this office. I have a complicated eye health and needed a new eye doctor upon moving here. The first mistake I made was not reading the contract before signing on my first visit. Keep in mind each visit is $60 and my current health insurance doesn't cover any of it. The contract indicated that I would not receive my contact prescription until after two separate eye exams. The first visit could only include an initial eye exam and I was able to receive my glasses prescription. Then I had to make another appointment to come back for the next eye exam. When I came for my THIRD appointment (I had been wearing the same 2-week contacts for 6 weeks) one of the assistants got onto me for coming in while I was sick because it could negatively affect the results. I'm sorry? I need contacts now! They finally "released" my contact prescription on the third visit and said I HAD to order the contacts through them (more money). Never coming back.
Exceptionally thorough exam. Listens to patient and responds to questions with care and compassion.
I have ben a patient of Dr Smith for 28 years. He is wonderful and I have complete confidence in him. I would (and have) recommended him to family & friends. I did not rate him on "Ease of scheduling urgent appointments" because, fortunately, I have not had to do that. But I have no doubt that I could see him quickly if it became necessary.
I've been going to see Dr. Smith annually for several years, and have always found him very professional and extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Never had any trouble with his staff who always were very attentive and courteous. And never had to wait more than 5 min. Highly recommend him.
Doctor spent a lot of time with me and was very friendly and informative. Didn't have to spend a ton of time waiting... Great office! The front office staff was a little confusing regarding insurance policies and what was covered versus not- but overall good experience.
Didn't feel confident with his services.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
