List of Dale Swift Md's Reviews
I normally would never post reviews but this one was much needed. My son was born prematurely and was in the NICU for quite some time. He started having these major oxygen drops and the hospital that he was originally at had to transfer him to childrens Dallas. They did many tests but said nothing came up as to why this was happening. We then were seen by neurosurgery and that is where Dr.Swift started to come on to my child’s case. Right away, he told me my baby would need a tracheostomy..without even knowing much or seeing any of my sons episodes. I couldn’t understand that considering these episodes were only happening about every two weeks and when they were not present, my baby was fine. I am all for doing something for my child to help him but deep down I didn’t feel as if a tracheotomy was the solution, especially when this doctor had not seen any of these episodes.I even recorded videos of my sons episodes but still a tracheotomy seemed like a better quick fix. As my sons advocate, I felt like I had to fight to get him answers, so I started doing my own research and from the looks of it, it seemed like my baby was having seizures. So i threw that idea out there but was quickly denied. I asked for a care conference and for some reason was never able to get one but a tracheotomy was still highly pushed even though they couldn’t give me a diagnosis. We were sent home and low and behold my son continued to have these episodes so I changed him hospitals and we saw another neurologist and guess what!?…they were SEIZURES. So for 5 months of alll of this happening we had finally got a doctor to give us an actual diagnosis without shoving a tracheotomy down our throats (literally) I thank God that I listened to my mom gut because my son is now on the medication he needs and he is thriving. Please listen to your gut and don’t trust every doctor.
When I was 7 I moved in the middle of surgery and Dr ponytail still saved me
Dr. Swift took care of my premie baby back in 1994. My son was diagnosed with hydrocephalus. Dr. Swift deligently took very good care of my son all the way to 18 years old. Never had any complication with his vp shunt. Very durable! At age 24 my sons vp shunt tubing broke at the nap of the neck. Dr swift didn't do adults. BUT He took my son into exception and changed out the old tubing. He said it was strange cause my son was the oldest patient he had worked on. Adult size. Anyway my son continues to enjoy good health. No issues with new tubing. My son Daniel is 27 years old and the shunt he received in 1994 still works. God bless you Dr. Swift. Thank you for saving my son's future.
Don't know, i've any qualification or standards to rate Dr. Swift. We always appreciate and thankful to his kind service.
What an amazingly brilliant, kind, humble, and all-around wonderful person. He genuinely cares so much. He also just happens to be fantastic doctor. I can't say enough positive things about this man. I was so sad when I "aged out" of this group of doctors and was no longer any of them, especially him. What a gem he is!
Both of my children had Chiaris Malformations and were diagnosed and operated on by Dr. Swift. He is the absolute best pediatric neurosurgeon in the world. I have no idea why the other reviewer thought he was rude, every time we have met with him he has been kind and caring, and both of my children adore him. Take the advice from the other 5 star reviewers and me - he has had both of my childrens lives in his hands and he did a wonderful job on both occasions.
Dr. Swift was my sons neurosurgeon from when he was 4 years old 1994 till he was 18 years old in 2008. Then he did my daughters surgery when she was 12 in 2008. And for the last 7 years he has been my grandsons neurosurgeon. Our entire family loves and trusts him.
He removed my brain tumor in 97thanks to him I'm still here!!
Dr. Dale Swift is one of the most amazing physicians you will ever meet. He is knowledgeable and experienced but also caring and empathetic. He wanted us to understand what was going on and listened to every concern we had. We trusted his judgement and had an outstanding outcome.
Dr. Swift is the best of the best. Finding out your two year old, sweet baby girl has a brain aneurysm (not ruptured), AV Fistula and AVM was devastating. His staff at the time treated me with compassion and always communicated in a way that I could understand. During our first appointment he explained everything in detail, showed us her pictures and answered all of our questions being kind and patient as we were worried and scared. He had toys in his office and watched my girl play and walk. Zoella, my daughter underwent brain surgery with Dr. Swift 2 weeks before her third birthday. He was the first to cut her hair and even saved us a lock! He shaved hardly anything, just enough to get the job done. He spent hours performing surgery on my girl! He discussed and communicated any and all hiccups during her 9 hour surgery. We were discharged 2 days after a 9 hour brain surgery. Let me tell you that his confidence gave us peace before and after! I want to thank you Dr. Swift for you skill, talent and compassion! Your bedside manor is incredible and I loved you holistic mindset. This week my daughter, age 4, will be starting pre K and desires to be both a surgeon and chef when she grows up! She is a happy 4 year old with a huge miracle story! My heart can not explain the gratitude we have for this surgeon! Thank you for being a part of her story!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
