Amazing doctor. Patiently waited for me while my connection was lost. He also clearly explained my condition and next steps. Highly recommended.
Dr.Scott was great about explaining my condition and making the procedure understandable if I have to get it done. I went to a biriatric specialist before him and I have to say I am glad I kept my appointment with Dr. Scott he was able to make me feel confterable about my condition. I recomend Dr.Scott!
Complex combination 8+hr surgery after years of failed surgeries due to my complicated health issues in April 2019. Dr Scott's team was amazing with their care and compassion. I would highly reccommend UTSW and Dr Scott to those with this type of complexity. Thank you to his surgical team, residents and office staff.
I had umbilical hernia surgery 2 days ago and am so grateful that Dr. Scott was my surgeon. His care and concern for my needs and concerns before surgery were beyond my expectations, and my expectations are extremely high, and his surgery was amazing as I hardly know that I had surgery. I had heard from another doctor at UTSW that he was a superior surgeon. I was in the best of care and recommend him highly.
Dr. Scott has good bedside manner but his follow through is poor, leaving care to residents who know nothing about you in the hospital and follow up on diagnoses isn't done well since it's impossible to get an appointment with him in less than a month even if you've been hospitalized. He has too much on his plate. Nice does not equal competent.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
