I went in to discuss having my implants taken out due to implants hard and severe contraction causing me pain. No interaction as far as explaining why this was happening and was told i would have more pain having them removed. Due to past history with this doctor he is not empathetic with pain after surgery. He said i would have to have breast lift at a second surgery and would look flat and saggy after the first surgery. He was willing to set up surgery in 6 weeks. I asked for a second onion with Yonders and he had to o.k. this which i found strange! Yonders seemed unsure of why i was having pain and swelling in breast and told me to wait 2 months and see if they would heal. I was rescheduled to see Yonkers in 2 months. I ended up having more constriction and pain during the wait time and was getting worse. I had talked to Christine the head of the clinic after being rescheduled for 2 months and asked her if Yonkers did not want to do the surgery and was told on no that is not it! I received a call from Christine one month later saying Yonkers would not do my surgery because i had too many surgeries. What this is not true and just a shock, she had reviewed my records prior to seeing me. Dr Austin was going to do the surgery so to sum up" just a shit show" that they put me through. Austin wont do surgery also!! I now cant even wear a bra and have to pay out of pocket for this surgery because these are the only kaiser Permanente surgeons in Salem.

Dont expect to see him post operatively. Instead you see stephanie his medical assistant who may be the rudest person I have ever met in my life.

Dr. Austin and his team are amazing! Dr. Austin always took time to explain everything, was very personable and caring. He always was available if I needed him. His assistant was caring and always eager to help. I would recommend Dr. Austin and his team to absolutely everyone!

I recommend Dr. Austin 100%!!! He is an outstanding surgeon. He and and his staff are pleasant and caring. I am totally satisfied with the results of my surgery.

I recently had surgery on my face that required some skin grafting. I cannot begin to express how pleased I am with the work that Dr. Austin did. He is, indeed, a MASTER at this "art." I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Austin to anyone needing anything done to their face.

I would never recommend Dr Austin to a Breast Cancer Patient. I hope No cancer survive should have this experience. His 'assistant' Mary was unprofessional, rude, and no help, at best. There was no empathy, respect, or concern for my health or well being, at a vulnerable, traumatic time. No consideration to pre existing conditions. He assured me he could do an implant on a radiated masectomy breast with Lymphedema, I believed him as a professional. It was not possible, ugly failure/experience.

I just recently turned 50 and for many years have been scared to have my breast reduction. After doing lots of research and meeting with Dr. Austin I knew I finally had met the perfect surgeon for my procedure. I am 2 weeks post op and I could not be any happier!! Dr. Austin and his staff have been absolutely wonderful!! I would highly recommend Dr. Austin to anyone who is looking for a very skilled plastic surgeon.

Dr Austin performed an emergent surgery on me due to a post op complication. He is a very competent professional. His calm demeanor and ability to explain every detail helped put me at ease in the emergency room. He answered all questions the next day and went out of his way to explain care to me. Very satisfied with my experience with him. He truly cares about his patients and his work.

I saw a few Dr's before I saw Austin. I told Edwin Austin I only wanted a small amount of fat removed. He told me he was very conservative. I asked him if he had the skill and if I had the skin to have a smooth result. He said Yes you are actually the perfect candidate AND IT WAS SUCH A SMALL AMOUNT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT. So I chose him. Worst thing I've ever done.He haphazardly chunked out HUGE amounts from all the wrong areas, he did the exact opposite of what we discussed, he disfigured me.
