Our lives will be forever changed the day we met Dr Gerson Pineda. He took a near tragic event and showed confidence, poise and most of all compassion. He has our ultimate respect with the way he took care of my wife. An ultimate professional to say the very least. His bed side manor was by far the absolute best anyone could've asked. An excellent surgeon.

Dr. Pineda attended to me originally during an ER visit to THR Plano in January 2020 with an initial surgery for diverticulitis and perforated colon. Then provided supervision of my ostomy until an eventual reconstruction surgery in July 2020. Thanks to his talents along with others at Dallas Surgical Specialists and the amazing team at THR, I am now just weeks away from full and complete recovery. I am truly blessed and very thankful for the knowledge and expertise provided by Dr. Pineda.

Doctor Pineda is a great doctor, took the time to answer all the questions I had about my surgery and everything went great after during and after surgery.He is a very empathetic doctor with his patients not like other ones that only care about money.I highly recommend him.

Dr. Pineda is an fantastic doctor, he is very thorough and explain things in a very detailed manner. He makes you feel comfortable and shows that he cares about his patients. He never makes you feel rushed and his beside manners are absolutely amazing. I definitely recommend Dr. Pineda!! May God continue to Bless you Dr Pineda.

My experience with Dr Pineda was in an emergency setting. Not only did he perform the necessary surgery to save my life, the aftercare was wonderful. As a 25 yr, retired, BSRN, I appreciate a Great bedside manner. He took whatever time was needed to explain things to my ‘layman’ husband. Dr Pineda is such a talented, knowledgeable, caring, calming surgeon/physician. I will be using him again soon, to reverse a necessary result of the original emergency surgery. He Is That Good! I could have chosen anyone and I Chose Dr Pineda.

Compassionate when everybody else treated us like patients he saw us like people who are worried and spoken to us, he did not have to go the extra mile that he did. This is the kind of man one should seek to have as a surgeon-friend, to me he came across as a person who understands the challenge a family faces when they get stuck in the hospital.Had a weird experience at the Baylor hospital with one of the nurse practitioner who was not willing to mange my wife bp and one text to Dr. Pineda remedied the situation.He even made time to meet me before and after the surgery on my wife, probably saw my worried face but knowing its this human treating my wife relaxed me.If you have him you have a human heart taking care of you, so don't worry

Dr. Pineda is absolutely the best doctor anyone could ask for. He happened to be the doctor on call when my father was diagnosed with a ruptured appendix and needed surgery. Dr. Pineda came to talk to us and told us at this point there was so much infection that they weren’t sure they would be able to take out his appendix at this point until they actually got in there to see what needed to be done. He treated us like he cared as if we were family and put our minds at ease. He kept in constant contact with me during my dads stay at the hospital and took the time to explain anything we weren’t sure of. He went above and beyond what you would ask of from any doctor caring for your loved one. Once my father was able to have the surgery to remove the appendix we still received the same care he had given us before. I would definitely recommend Dr. Pineda for anyone that might be looking for a surgeon. Best surgeon there is and such a caring person!!
