If you are looking for caring, reliable care for someone you deeply care about, Home Helpers is an excellent choice. They were recommended to us by a physician just prior to our father’s hip replacement. We didn’t even know we were going to need 24 hour care until 2 days before surgery, they were able to work us in immediately. My dad’s care needs have been constantly changing but he recently had a hospitalization for a medical emergency. When we we need to add or decrease service, they work with us. we had caregivers helping us at the hospital and they were able to provide us 24 hour care upon his discharge starting that night. They return calls immediately. They follow through with all requests. My dad feels safe and happy with their care. I recommend them HIGHLY. If possible, ask for Angela to coordinate. She is thorough, compassionate, organized, patient, and reliable. (We have had other companies working with us in the past and there is just no comparison in terms of quality of care)!

I would not recommend anyone to work for this agency. I worked for this company for many years and I did not feel appreciated for my hard work and dedication. Even after many years with the company, it was very difficult to get a raise, while some new caregivers were making more money. The new office staff is very disorganized. They would call and text me multiple times about the same client and ask me to cover shifts that I had already told them I could not work and They would contact me whenever they needed help covering shifts, but when it came to raises or addressing my concerns, I felt ignored was told that additional training or certifications were needed for higher pay, yet i am seeing new caregivers being hired at higher rates working with me same client. I feel my experience, loyalty and dedication were not recognized I would not recommend anyone to work for this agency anymore.

HHoD came to our rescue when my mom died suddenly and I needed help for my dad who had been diagnosed with dementia the same week. Caregivers are vetted more intensively than other places and they made sure my dad and the caregiver were very compatible. We have been with them almost two years and they have helped us navigate dad’s health with great trust and compassion. Highly recommend this company for trust and high quality, experienced caregivers.

Where do I begin? We came here when mom was first brought home, unable to walk and do for herself. The caregivers they sent were compassionate, respectful, and kind. I will be honest, it wasn't all rainbows and unicorns. There came a time when mom's caregiver was moving on to another company, and at the time mom couldn't find just the right fit for her. So, we ventured out. Over the next 1 & 1/2 years, we were with 2 other agencies. When the last one wasn't working out, mom said we are calling Scott with Home Helpers, and we did. The best decision. At that time we were coming into the transition time of mom's life. They were there for her during this time, providing the support she needed, and we had some of the best humans during those last couple of months caring for her and, honestly, me. They treat you like family. From the owners, administrative back-office team, to the caregivers who are there to listen, step back, step up and love. They become family. They are family. Thank you.

Angela has been an amazing support system when I was at my lowest point of my recovery.
