I cannot say enough good things about Dr.Heger and his staff! After my daughter was brushed off from a neurosurgeon here in San Antonio I took it upon myself to find a knowledgeable Neurosurgeon that specializes in Chiari malformation. After him being highly recommended on multiple Facebook groups I decided to call and schedule a appointment with him and it was the best decision we made! Our daughter is one year post op and doing fantastic now. From our first appointment he made sure were educated and answered any questions we had. We never once felt rushed and when our 30 min appointment turned into a 1 hour appointment that tells you a lot. We scheduled surgery just one month later and spent 4 days in the hospital. He came and saw us every day to check on our daughter and his office called once we made it back home to check in on her. Every time we have had concerns or questions and I call the office to speak to someone Dr.Heger is always the one to call me back and answer directly. I love how personal he makes everything and I know he treats my daughter as if it were his. Elizabeth and Cassandra have been so much help from before her surgery up until now. If I could rate him and his office more than 5 stars I would.

Dr. Heger is a miracle worker. He performed brain surgery on my daughter nearly 8 years ago. She is doing wonderfully due to his skill and expertise. Very kind hearted man too!

Dr. Heger is the most amazing surgeon. We started with him in Augusta and followed him to Dallas. He treats his patients like they are his kids, because in a way they are! I would recommend him to anyone and everyone who has a child within his specialties! Thank you Dr. H for everything!

Our child has been Dr. H's patient for a few years. He has always been gentle, kind and has given us hope when others didn't. Our child has a rare brain condition that very few doctors even know about. Not only does Dr. H know about it but he's also a specialist in it! Miranda, his nurse practitioner is also wonderful.

He doesn't wash his hands when touching my child's head! Who does that? He's incredibly rough with our child to the point of tears and his stitching looks sloppy. He allowed my child's condition get so bad, she was transferred to a different hospital even after we begged him to please give her a CT scan because her screaming indicated this was more than just her being fussy. She was taken in for surgery immediately and reprimanded for not doing more sooner! Not a doctor who cares for children!

Such an incredible Neurosurgeon! He really cares about the children he treats. My son adores him! Our whole family adores him. His office staff are wonderful, too. We thank God for Dr. Heger every day!
