I've been seeing Dr. Mugianto for my dental care for years now. He's always attentive and makes me feel like I'm getting top notch care. The dental hygienists have also always been great but I recently received an exceptionally good cleaning from Kenyota. She was patient but efficient and had great communication!

I’m a new patient and not really happy with the appearance of my teeth, the diagnosis and immediate attention required to correct all of the damage to my back teeth and the costs. The doctor and his team of experts exceeded my expectations with minimal pain. In fact, the dentist made the follow-up call to determine if I needed pain intervention. Bravo Ideal Dentistry Uptown

Sunnyvale location is TRASH! I called and spoke to a secretary about braces. That's all I wanted. She said their office has to do the dental exam first, but my son will see the orthodontist side SAME DAY, talk about cost and have braces applied SAME DAY! She told me they wld verify insurance before the appnt. 3 weeks later we walk into the appnt and the secretary says "We have to verify insurance. If we don't get the fax back in time, worst case scenario is you pay $59." WHAT???? My son has his exam. No cavities. The secretary tells us the cost and she will see if the ortho can get us in. WHAT???? I recount the inital phone conversation THREE WEEKS ago. She said they are down an assistant. She will check. She comes back and says they can't see him today ,but will make an appnt. What????? The orthodontics office manager steps in and tells me thats not how it works. WELL, THATS WHAT THEY TOLD ME 3 WEEKS AGO OVER THE PHONE. They tried to send us to Forney with ALL THE TRAFFIC A WEEK LATER. WHAAAAATTT??? SHE WAS NOT APOLOGETIC AT ALL! She stared at me and continued with saying, "That's now how it works." We have VERY FULL SCHEDULES AND THESE PPL WASTED OUR DAY AND TIME TO FILL A SEAT FOR EXAM MONEY! I WILL DISPUTE IT WITH THEIR CORPORATE OFFICE AND MY INSURANCE. OH! THEN SHE TELLS ME THE ORTHODONTIST IS EXPECTING A BABY!!! I'M RUNNING! YOU SHOULD,TOO.

Ideal Dental feels like the perfect neighborhood dentist. Everyone is so nice to me, my appointments are quick, and I am impressed by the tech and the cleaning plans they create for specific issues.

Great staff! Hygienist and doctor were friendly, knowledgeable and truly have your best interest at heart.

*WARNING* - a breakdown of why ideal dental gives me & others pause: 1) KEEP in mind, this is a Blackstone backed venture (DECA dental) which means that need their 10% Year over Year (YoY). Where does that come from? Your Pocket! Stay local if you can would be my advice. 2) I was charged an extra 169$ just randomly nearly a month after my procedure. I called in and asked to explain the charges and the admin practitioners agreed I was incorrectly billed. What happens to the others who think this is a legitimate charge? This infuriates me. 3) Please refer to all the charges, this has to be the most aggressive overbill I've ever seen from any dental practice. There are still 10+ more line items after! I've redacted for privacy. 4) The experience in the office is devoid of life - if it weren't for the front desk people, it would be miserable. I believe my dentist spent 7 minutes with me and seemed severely disinterested. 5) Lastly, think about why a place that has been open for a short period of time has nearly 1000 positive google reviews? They do the same thing as everyone else in buying fake reviews.

I went in for a regular teeth cleaning. Hygienist Jessica stated i needed deep cleaning and rescaling. I was just there in 6 months before no deep cleaning needed. I ask them to approve deep cleaning and rescaling approved through my dental insurance and to do the regular cleaning now. Both Dr Muguato and hygienist refused to do regular cleaning. Then was given a number to call there customer care center to fix issues. I never received a call back as promised. I had to call them each time. I have been owed money for a long time. It was never mentioned or check sent out. I had to request it. I was told it takes 4-6 weeks to get a refund. Still have not received refund. I would find another dental office. I have been told by another dentist office i do not need a deep cleaning.
