J. Marcus Downs's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Downs is fantastic at what he does. I came to him for a second opinion - my original doctor was rushing me into surgery and I was uncomfortable with that. Dr. Downs took the time to understand my issues and evaluate the best direction. In the end, we decided on a different surgery strategy that was a complete success. It was a difficult recovery, but Dr. Down's back office team was very supportive. Highly recommend this group.

Dr. Downs is a big part of why my wife is here today. After a few trips to the ER after my wife had our first child 13 years ago we came to Presbyterian and the radiologist referred Dr. Downs. He was straight to the point in communicating in what was making my wife ill and was able to do a successful surgery. 13 years later we are living good. Thank you!

Was terrible, severe pain for 6 hours nurses were trying everything they could to get a hold of him. He would not call back. Residents Dr at Presbyterian in Dallas had to take over. This is on going and to be continued.

My history with Dr. Downs goes back almost two years ago when my gastroenterologist, Dr. Andrew Gottesman, referred me to him for an issue that was not in his field (Dr. Gottesman's). Right off the bat of our initial introduction, my husband and I both sensed that Dr. Marc Downs was not only highly qualified but was also sensitive to our concerns about the procedure. He handled each of the now four appointments with confidence and ease, with a sense of understanding for our concerns, and with great professionalism. His entire office/staff seemed to be on top of things with each of our visits. I have since moved out of state, but will continue to follow-up with him whenever possible. I would strongly recommend Dr. Downs to anyone--far and near!

When I "went under the knife" I was afraid of the possible outcomes, but when I woke up, I learned that Dr. Downs and his team had given me the best possible outcome. After a rapid recovery I am disease free, and have not had to change my diet or lifestyle. Amazing, and thank you!

Never attempted to look for the cause of my wife’s pain. Zero effort on his part. Looked at a little lab work and called it a day. Would not recommend him.
