Jason Bentow Md's Online Review Report Card

Just visited Dr Bentow at his Baylor office in Dallas and had a RIDICULOUS experience. I had gone in for just a simple full body scan and to ask about a few spots I wanted to have taken care of like a few skin tags, small cyst on my back, etc. I knew that nothing I had was a major deal, however, they were to me and I wanted to have them addressed. He literally spent less than 5 minutes with me. Was very brash, didn’t ask or care anything about me AT ALL and just overall made me feel very uncomfortable and uncared about as a patient. He was very matter of fact and just wanted to move on. I had some skin tags I wanted removed and he proceeded to tell me he would have to charge me to do that because it’s cosmetic. Yeah, no kidding! Do you think I am expecting to get them removed for FREE? I’m sorry, but when it comes to my doctors, I like for them at least act like they care when I am in the room with them and he definitely did not! The nurse was super nice as were the rest of the staff of this office, however, this doctor needs to learn how to treat his patients like he actually cares and is interested in them and their health concerns. Took my 16 year old son to this guy for mild to moderate acne, looks at his face for literally 5 seconds and just says Accutane. Nothing else...just accutane. Obviously he is getting kickbacks from Accutane. Didn't even touch his face...DO NOT GO HERE!

The staff are extremely pleasant and professional (on the phone and in person), and the doctor was phenomenal! He took his time explaining things to me, and made me feel very comfortable and optimistic about the treatment.

Dr. Bentow is a very busy yet thorough at his exam. Addressed all concerns and even explained things very well. I recommend Dr. Bentow if your needing a dermatologist who cares about his patients skin and health.

Worst bedside manner I’ve ever experienced. Told me “if I give you this medicine you will die with a tube in your throat. Do you want that?” Felt really uncomfortable with him. Stay away if you have a health issue. Went to him 3 times for extreme case of psoriasis. Didn’t do biopsy until 3rd appointment. Just didn’t care, spend time to understand, ask questions, answer questions. In 3 trips he spent 5 min total with me while I am in a critical condition. If you value your skin, go anywhere but here. Cyst removals, several visits. All staff great. Doctor is brief with beside manner but will take all the time you need to answer your questions.

We waited very little time by doctor standards and the doctor recognized the issue immediately, took action, and the problem is gone for our daughter. He looked at something on my back. I highly recommend him.

I had a procedure on 5/14/21 with Dr Jason Bentow in Denton. Before the procedure he said the procedure would cost $400 if I do not use insurance. I paid the $400 on 5/14/21. TEN months later I surprisingly received a bill for $375.30 more. On 3/5/22 I called and explained that I already paid the amount that Dr Bentow and I agreed on. They said they would check on it. I've emailed proof twice that I already paid the original bill in full. I did not get a response. I followed up another time and never got a response. I highly recommend Dr. Jason Bento, Md. He is professional and gets right to the point. He is a great dermatologist.
