I began seeing Dr. Dodds when he was at the VA Medical Center in Dallas. He diagnosed me with a major mental illness when everyone else missed it. I've seen him off and on for almost 20 years. He is amazing. He calls you on you bulls***, knows every symptom of mental illnesses in the book, is honest, direct and supportive. He directs you to additional resources (in my case, books on the illnesses I'm struggling with), does diagnostic testing, treats trauma and PTSD, he's absolutely the best psychologist I've ever seen, and I've seen plenty. If you have the good luck to actually get to SEE and be treated by him, consider yourself very fortunate because he does lots of research work and teaching at UT Southwestern. He's the bomb.

My 18 y-o son went to Dr. Dodds for about 9 months; then our insurance changed. He found Dr. Dodds to be the most relatable of the 5 therapists he's seen over the last 8 years. My son felt like Dr. Dodds really listened , and says he would recommend him
