Please do your research!! After my revision I had major complications. He couldn’t fix the problem. So he referred me to another doctor. Thank god the new doctor could fix the problem, but it involved me being in and out of the hospital for 6 months. It was horrible.
I always determine whether or not if I want to do business with a professional by the way I am treated by the staff. I arrived at the office at 2:30 pm I waited and waited by 4:30 I still had not been seen. I had to leave. As I left I mentioned that I have other commitments so I’ll have to leave after waiting over 2 hours. With the exception of 1 individual the front desk lady was like ok nonchalantly. I wouldn’t recommend this office it’s starts with the staff just imagine how the service from the Dr will be if the office staff conducts themselves this way. It’s a NO for me
Kind office staff. Dr. Alexander is a highly knowledgeable and compassionate physician and gave me a brilliant gastric sleeve. 10/10
After seeing 3 doctors and spending 10 minutes in each of their offices, I met Dr Alexander. He spent well over an hour with me personally and reviewed my family history as well as eating issues. He saved my life and my self esteem. I will forever be grateful to his amazing staff and medical team for their personal care. I have lost 127 pounds and feel so amazing. I’m healthy and happy. His knowledge about bariatrics is far greater than he admits. You don’t see that often in doctors of his caliber.
Complications from my revision were horrible. Another surgeon had to fix what had been done. I was in and out of hospital for almost a year.
Dr. Alexander fixed by bariatric surgery AND did my abdominal surgery after. He took great care of me even when I had a minor complication. I highly recommend him for people with complex cases or those that need revisions! I’m extremely pleased with my new body!!!
I am very honest in my reviews... This provider won't tell you they are out of network until they have ran your insurance up in unnecessary charges. 30k has been Charged to my insurance in one month and I haven't had surgery yet. I went in for a revision consultation. I was informed before my insurance would approve, that I had to have my stomach scoped. 24k was charge for looking at my stomach. MY PORTION 24K.... I lost my grip. I called and asked why was I being charged so much for a simple stomach scope. I was informed that they were out of network provider. Then I was told before I would have to pay 2k to the doctor plus pay the hospital. If they are charging 23k just to look at my stomach how much will the bill be for a revision? Do what you want. Just beware of heart check leg check and unnecessary stress test that will cost your insurance 12k. I am so disappointed. I called my insurance and was informed that they can charge whatever they want because they are out of network and there is nothing I can do. I am still waiting on the bill.
I was told ahead of time that he loses track of time. He spends lots of time with his patients so you will wait but worth waiting for
Would not use again. Took me 3 months to recover and almost died. Had to go to another dr to get treated properly
I had a revision in November 2018, and my husband,Allan had a revision in August 2019. We are both well pleased. Special thanks to Dr Alexander. He is totally awesome and certainly cares for his patients. His entire office staff and First Baptist Medical Center staff were beyond great. Thanks to you all.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
