John Zuniga Dmd's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Zuniga has changed my life completely. I had both TMJ's replaced along with a lefort in 2014 after 17 years of suffering. It was the most impressive and extensive surgery I've had or ever hope to have. I only had one other specialist in the Dallas area that would take my case, and was going to charge $52k oop just for his fee. With Dr. Zuniga & his team I didn't come to even a fraction of this cost. Plus, he made it possible to skip the braces before and after that I was told I needed by doing a lefort at the same time. Yes, sometimes he might come across as awkward or short during conversation....but when it comes to amazing surgeons I've yet to find one who's very personable. I'll take a medical genius working on me over that any day. I believe he does genuinely care about his patients. Knowing I'll need these mechanical parts replaced more than likely again in years soon to come, I can only hope he'll still be practicing to do it. I have and will continue to recommend.

Dr Zuniga cherry picks his cases. If you have a difficult or unusual situation he will just talk you in circles. He doesn’t communicate effectively with other doctors in his department and never says the same thing twice. There are really good surgeons out there find someone else. He is terrible.

The entire Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department is without question the absolute worst place anyone with serious jaw issues should go. After 12 years I still do not have a complete and accurate diagnosis. I would strongly urge anyone considering this department to go elsewhere. There is no care coordination. Dr Zuniga is vague and ineffective in my opinion and I don’t recommend him on any level. This department is like the Bermuda Triangle of medicine. You’ll get lost in there forever.

He is the finest Doctor I have meet. My jaw was operated two times before I him at UT SOUTH WESTERN HOSPITAL. He gave the most classic solution and restored my smiles and confidence again. He is a God sent. Dr. Zuniga, you deserve all the stars of this world. May God bless your ways always!

He"s the best so far i loss my sensation of half tongue in wisdom tooth removal by a oral surgeon now after 1.5 years i can say hes the only dr in this world whos is really interested to feel you like normal before, am so glade and honoured by zuniga and his students and staffs everyone is so helpfull and caring in my journey , Thank for serving me ...

Dr Z changed my life and not for the better. He talked me N2 having a drastic, joint replacement of both jaws when I have had many other oral surgeons since tell me that i just needed phys therapy. I am in SO much more pain after his surgery, and we have learned he left the operation for his residents to handle, not showing up that day - where they cut a facial nerve, causing paraIysis & I had to have 6 later jaw surgeries to try and correct this & 3 yrs of braces. He told me I needed a psychiatrist
