Dr. Gill and his staff were fantastic and I recommend him to everyone I know who has disc issues. He performed a disc replacement at C3/4 and C4/5 and L3/4 and L4/5 in 2009. At this time he was one of the only drs in the area doing disc replacements. (I couldn’t find anyone else). I had been to several doctors who wanted to do a fusion. After seeing a few drs and hearing about the recovery process of a fusion; days in the hospital and days in bed and afterwards in a neck brace. My husband had one and I really didn’t want that. A friend referred me to Dr. Gill and he told me about disc replacement and I literally cried in his office. I couldn’t believe I would only have to stay in the hospital one night, no bed time and no neck brace. Why wasn’t everyone doing this??? Of coarse at that time my insurance would not pay for the procedure unlike today. I waited for a year to have the surgery while Dr. Gills office did everything they could to get it covered. However, since it was not covered Dr. Gill agreed to perform my neck and back surgery and the same time to save me the money it would cost me of having two surgeries. After Dr. Gill came into my room to talk to me after surgery I could turn my neck all the way sideways without any pain. You can’t do that with a fusion.

Visited Dr Gill after doing some research and identifying him as the best coccyx specialist around. He’s highly rated and highly recommended by patients and others in the medical community. He’s very confident in his abilities and will be taking care of my extremely painful coccyx coming up in December. His staff were all friendly and Lori was very easy to work with in setting up the surgery. He was able to recommend another surgeon to do my back surgery that I am needing as well. I’m excited to not have a literal pain in my as$!! I also thought it was cool they offer hotel packages for people that have negotiated rates for people to stay at.

I was pleasantly surprised to find such a genuinely honest second opinion with regard to my current condition. I’ve been dreading this for over a year, but feel so much better now. As with all UTSW Physicians & staff; they’re simply the very best!

First time with Dr. Gill. It’s seldom Doctors will personally call prior to your first appointment. This guy has done it all. He’s is an advocate for the patient! Outstanding.

Dr Gill, is just amazing. He did my surgery 1998. L5s1 we had it scheduled for February. I worked at FedEx and that job is brutal on the spine. I suddenly fell to my knees and had no sensation. My wife called the next day they found room to move it up and for my birthday, I had surgery. But Dr Gill and his team are always ready to answer and explain in detail what to expect. he gave me my options and made sure I knew what will happen down the road. And he was rigt! I would not trust my spine to anyone else. Lastly he is the top in the field and is always on new innovations to make sure your spine will have the proper placement . Lastly as I was getting opinions from 2 other surgeons and they all said the same. If they had to have surgery they would choose Dr Gill. Thanks Dr Gill

Es un doctor que le falta ser más humano, me operó y dónde operó no era la solución. Es un doctor de poco hablar y no explica al paciente. Continúo con el mismo problema. La segunda opinión detectó un pinchamiento del nervio Ciático en L5S1. Ahora tengo que hacerme otra cirugía.

I was referred to Dr Gill and I am so thankful! Dr Gill explained what was needed and spoke honestly about the outcomes. He accepted my insurance and also MRIs and CTs from outside sources. He is one of few doctors that I trust. I wasn’t able to follow through with more work due to the pandemic and a car accident. Transportation after procedures are not available for me so unfortunately I will not be able to go to Dallas but I still plan to have him look over and advise if possible. He is a wonderful doctor.

Dr. Gill is very talented and confident. He has performed 4 surgeries on me. 3 were fusions. I never have experienced any problems post surgery. He is direct and will not leave you wondering. I am thankful for Dr. Gill and to have had such a talented surgeon.

Dr. Gill Preformed L4-L5 and L5-S1 laminectomey/discectomy June 2015. His care, before during and after was wonderful and my recovery was amazingly quick, heck went to eat at Pappadeaux's right after I was released then drove two hours home after that. So why am I writing this review nearly 5 years later, I had to have another back surgery and decided to stay local. Care was poor after surgery. Recovery nurse told me that the Doctor had an emergency meeting at another campus so he will not see me post op but he would call me. I was in much pain after the surgery that I went straight home and to bed with no appetite. Here I am 2 weeks later and I am in worse pain than before the surgery and I still have not seen or talked with the doctor.

Dr Gill performed a microdiscectomy on me 5 years ago. I was immediately pain free and recommend him to anyone suffering back pain.
