List of M. Rita Lepe Md's Reviews
I had spent six months of doctor visits searching for a diagnosis to my symptoms. These all led up to the recommendation of getting a liver biopsy. When I finally met with Dr. Lepe-Suastegui, she took a look over the previous medical notes and decided my issues were for a dermatologist. She did not conduct any new testing, but went solely off of the paperwork of previous doctors and disregarded their opinion. Four months later, after a series of additional testing and doctor visits, we were recommended the same thing: get a liver biopsy. Thankfully, we were able to go elsewhere to have this done and were able to receive the information we needed. Had Dr. Lepe-Suastegui spent a little more time and consideration, we may have saved ourselves significant time and money. Incredibly disappointed and disheartened.
Dr Lepe has been my Liver specialist for going on 8 years now. She is compassionate and throughly listens to my concerns about my health. she is avalible when ever i have a question and she saved my life with the quick and correct diagnosis to recieve my liver transplant.
Plain and simple Dr. Lepe helped save my life. I'm post liver transplant hep returned she helped eradicate the virus. If your looking for a sugar coated diagnosis look elsewhere but if you want the facts regardless how brutal she is the one.
I have seen Dr. Lepe for almost 10 years and I like and respect her a great deal. She listens to what you are saying and I trust her opinion. However, the office itself has absolutely NO COMMUNICATION within the last year or so. I tried to get a Rx refill for over 2 weeks and finally gave up and had another doctor write the Rx for me. I have called to get test/labs from the office while visiting another doctor (even though they're supposed to send all results to this doctor anyway) & was told by the office personnel that they couldn't fax it over because they had no record of Dr Lepe collaborating with said doctor. They have been talking/collaborating on my care for 10 years!! The same doctor left 3 messages for Dr Lepe and never received a call back. I've had troublesome lab results over the course of the last 3 weeks (over the Christmas holidays) & have been trying to find out how the doctor wants me to proceed....cannot get through to anyone. I understand people take time off but someone should be able to step in and cover them. And upon my last office visit, the office personnel checking me out did not have a clue. They failed to even make me a follow up appointment. I do like Dr Lepe tremendously and her assistant Liz as well. I think the office as a whole is very poorly managed with no communication. I'm sad to say that after 10 years I will be looking for a new doctor.
Was totally unprepared at initial Kidney Transplant evaluation. Did not have records necessary in spite of having 6 weeks notice. Had to do duplicate blood draws due to lack of records. At my CAT Scan, her office failed to even send a coherent work order. Tech had no idea what he was supposed to do or how to do it. Work Order had to be downloaded that day. Real Keystone Cops.
Dr. Lepe is a genuinely caring medical professional who will do all in her ability to assure the patients needs are met.
Have seen Dr Lepe for years. She is very professional and caring. I trust her diagnoses completely. This has not been the case with some other doctors. I have a chronic condition that has resulted in organ transplant and numerous tests over the past decade, so I am very familiar with Dr Lepe, her style and abilities. I would, and have, recommended dr Lepe to family and friends.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
