His only concern is weight and BMI, nothing else. If you're overweight and especially if you're a woman, find any other doctor or your medical concerns will be ignored and you shouldn't risk your health or mental well-being by being dismissed and condescended to.
Dr Kakarla was very rude and screamed at me the whole office could hear. So embarrassing and he was very unprofessional. My conversation with you should be behind closed doors. During this pandemic I have been suffering with anxiety And he is aware and prescribed Rx. He did apologize for not assisting with medical needs for my day when he had to be admitted in an assisted living facility. Kakarla recommended a knee Dr two (2) years ago and has never mentioned my knee progress nor have ever followed up with my knee doctor. I told him my knee is swelling so he prescribed some pills for swelling. I feel after all the years of being a patient that he doesn’t have time to spend with and go over everything. I read the visit summary but he never told me to bring log or recommended a ADA nor aerobic exercise. If he understood me as a patient and I knee issue he would never recommend aerobic exercise. Very disappointed that he is my doctor but knows little about me.
Went to office today the doctor said he would check my cholesterol, CBC, etc, when I got the lab slip it was a basic metabolic profile. I inquired about it he said no, I didn’t need it, the Office Coordinator said you can wait in the room or lobby or I can call security! REALLY SECURITY! Over asking about some lab testing! I was not asking for DRUGS. I told them I will find another doctor, she told me DON’T COME BACK EITHER! My 3 year relationship with this office ended today! I managed doctors offices for 15 years and have never been treated or talk to like that.
I've been suffering from worsening Neurological symptoms for 4 years now, with no relief. I've seen many drs, all with the same ideas and opinions and treatments. I went to dr kakarla because I got a positive test back for lyme disease, and was recommended to him by my dad's friend. The ONLY thing he did was tell me to go back to my neurologist. After reading all the things I'm suffering from, looking at my test results (which he said were unreliable at best), and listening to my plight, he did nothing. Didn't even try to think of something that would cause my health issues, didn't offer to try and assist me as a dr. I paid $175 (no insurance) to be told NOTHING. Not to mention, I was told the TOTAL cost of my appt would be $175, yet a few hours later I got a bill for $48 from that appt. They labeled the $175 as a "copay". Are you serious?! I paid you nearly $200 for you to tell me nothing, and then you try to backhand charge me extra? Never again. Only nice thing was the staff

He comes off as a nice guy but honestly I feel that he just runs up a bill visit after visit just to extend my time off from work and to say my condition is out of his scope. He writes his notes on a sheet of paper that is already filled with other patients' information so it just looks unprofessional like a high school scratch sheet. He says it's so patients feel he's paying attention and he types notes later. It's still odd. The nurse is great and very understanding. The staff is okay but kept giving the run around about a referral. I just want to get better and back to normal as soon as possible without wasting time.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
