When I was a a patient and was getting eye shots for macular degeneration, I had terrible reaction to betadine. Dr. Allen never tried to see what the issue was. Finally found another doctor who washed my eye out after getting an injection. Such a simple solution but was never offered this after 18 months of treatment. Would still be a patient but found someone else.

I developed diabetic retinopathy, which can ultimately lead to blindness. Dr. Allen has treated me for this condition through laser retinopathy and monitored my condition for several years. He is bright and thoroughly professional. I see him every six months to make sure that problems do not re-occur and if they do he takes care of them. I highly recommend him to anybody who has developed eye problems related to diabetes.

I will never see Dr. Allen again. I went to visit a few years ago for problems with my eyes, all I was told is that I would have to live with the blind spot. I went again last year to get it checked out again, since I am still having problems. This time it was oh did we not send you to a neuro? along with a vague explanation of what it could be.

I really like Dr Allen and highly recommend him. He is soft spoken and very reassuring. When he diagnosed my VMT he throughly explained the condition and what to look for if it worsen. Which it did. Before surgery he carful explain what the surgery envolved and the recovery. My recovery will be much quicker because of his early dedication.
