List of Marilyn Leitch Md's Reviews
I was diagnosed with stage 2 triple negative breast cancer in 2011, and was referred to Dr. Leitch by my daughter, who is in the medical profession herself. As of today, I an cancer-free. Dr. Leitch is a remarkable surgeon who stays up to date on the medical advances in the study of breast cancer. I highly recommend her.
Amazingly talented doc that has saved so many women in Dallas
Condescending and belittling. Speaks about how much fat she has to go through to reach a site. Hard pass. Humans don't need to be treated or spoke to like that. Many other doctor options. And her staff and others accept her behavior-sad.
Dr. Leitch has extraordinary skillset for processing clinical information. While that is a wonderful attribute, her expertise is limited to that aspect of clinical practice. Dr. Leitch has a challenged bedside manner. She is detached, in terms of her engagement style. It comes off as dismissive and a bit arrogant. I doubt she intends that. She demonstrates difficulty intuiting patient's communication style, their personality make up, their psychological need toward maintenance of confidence re treatment plan. She misses opportunity to tailor her engagement in a way that results in a best practices approach. I experienced a serious post surgical hemorrhage that went undetected despite my attempts to inform nurse that I was in trouble. I required an urgent 2nd surgery to address the hemorrhage. It didn't need to happen. And, it shouldn't have gone undetected for hours. Her avoidance in engaging dialogue, fully, re the surgical result was insult to injury, and inexplicable.
I used to see Dr Leitch when she was in Aston Ambulatory Care In UT in the late 1980's and early 1990's. She spends time with you and explains and does not rush you out the door. She is the very best !
Choosing Dr Leitch as my surgeon was the best choice I made in my journey with breast cancer! Her surgical skill was phenomenal. When my sentinel node was not evident via radioactive imaging, she found it surgically and spared me the ill effects of an axillary node dissection. She advised me at the outset that my case was complicated (I had 4 areas of concern in my breast). She then proceeded to methodically undertake the diagnostic tests necessary to accurately characterize my breast cancer and the other non-cancerous lesions in my breast. Her and her team of radiologists (Dr Seiler / Dr Mootz) were thorough, precise, and compassionate. Because of her and her teams knowledge and skill I was able to undergo breast conservation surgery with an outstanding result. I can't recommend her highly enough. She is the best of the best!
Dr. Leitch is by far one of the very best physicians I have ever encountered. She is a thorough, competent, confident, caring and dedicated cancer surgeon. I consider myself lucky to have her as my physician notwithstanding the unlikely diagnosis of bilateral breast cancer.
Dr Leitch is a phenomenal person and a dedicated doctor. She is one of the positives in my journey with breast cancer. She cares deeply about her patients. Once you meet her you realize that the wait to see her is worth every minute you sit in the exam room. She answers all of your questions, she offers all of your options and when the results are tough, she stays with you and doesn't rush you out the door. She is a 10 and her staff is right there with her. I'm blessed to have Dr Leitch and staff in charge of my care. They are wonderful.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
