In Jan 2015 I suffered cardiac arrest and nearly died. Dr Mark Drazner and his team at UTSW saved my life. I spent 17 days in a coma. 7 weeks in the hospital. By June I was back to normal. I cannot say enough about this man. He is brilliant, kind, compassionate and genuinely concerned about you and your well being. I still see him for regular check ups and I give him the absolute highest praise one can give. There is no one I would trust or recommend more. Scott H

I suffered a SCD event more likely known as Sudden Cardiac Death where my heart stopped for an unexplained reason. This event nearly took my life, my initial chances of survival or having any quality of life were less than 10%. I spent 3 weeks in an induced coma and 7 weeks in the hospital. Today, I am back to a full and normal life. If I could give Dr. Drazner and his team 10 stars I would. Bluntly, he saved my life. He is a brilliant doctor and an even better human being!

Dr. Drazner is very friendly and professional. You would expect the Director of such an esteemed university hospital to be arrogant and not listen but he is quite the opposite. I am very happy to have found him. His support team is equally impressive.

Dr. Drazner cheered me on and took very good care of me through 6 wks in ICU and finally a heart transplant. He is super smart and knowledgeable and a warm caring person and just as concerned about my post transplant care.
