List of Neighborhood Medical Center's Reviews
If you book an appointment expect to wait in the waiting room for 30+ minutes regardless of the time you selected. The receptionist will skip over you and you are seen regarding a time log not based on the time you scheduled which is ridiculous.
Dr mcelya and medical student lauren..saved my life. They were both so so helpful and made me want to come back. They have excellent service and are excellent people. -a satisfied customer 🌟
Great staff, Dr McElya is a friendly/knowledgeable doctor, and it's super easy to get an appointment! I pay without insurance and it's very affordable. Recommend to anyone!
I’ve enjoyed the ease and ability to get in and be seen. But recently they began to withhold lab results until a nurse is available to speak. Their nurses get busy for hours on end, combined with a busy work schedule, this could mean not getting your results for a while. When I asked to please have them emailed to me they said they couldn’t, multiple times. The person I spoke to said it’s been this way for 3 years. To my knowledge it is illegal to withhold test results from a patient once they’re available. Especially when it knowingly does damage to that patient. Very confused why that would be the standard.
My recent visit was incredibly disappointing. Despite having a scheduled appointment at 11 AM, I was made to wait for an additional 1 hour and 30 minutes without any proper explanation. When I tried to inquire about the delay, the staff at front desk was increíble unfriendly and dismissive, when I want back to the waiting room they made fun of my accent and complaints. The lack of respect for my time and unprofessional behavior left me feeling frustrated and disheartened. I hope they address these issues and improve their services to ensure a better experience for patients in the future.
I had an extremely distressing experience. Not only did I have to wait for two hours beyond my scheduled appointment at 11 a.m., but when I approached the staff to inquire about the delay, I was met with indifference and unkindness. When I returned to the waiting area I could hear their disrespectful comments and laughter about my accent and my complaint about the long wait time. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and left me feeling deeply disrespected. It is disheartening to think that a healthcare facility would allow such unprofessional conduct towards their patients. I hope the management takes this matter seriously, conducts a thorough investigation, and ensures that appropriate action is taken to address the issue promptly. No patient should have to endure such mistreatment while seeking medical care.
Dr. McElya is incredible ! Super informative and helpful, I feel as if I’m heard and taken care of here. 10/10 recommend for anyone. Staffs beyond kind and helpful too
I’ve been using them for a while. Only because they’re close no other reason and I’ve never felt like I had an actual PCP. I’m a black woman, so maybe my experience is different because their patient population is mainly Caucasian. I don’t feel listened to or heard. Even something as simple as a name change for me they couldn’t accomplish. I submitted all the necessary documentation 2-3 years ago and still every-time I call there’s a confusion about my name because they have 2-3 different charts under my name. Imagine how frustrating and disrespectful it is that you cannot even get acknowledged by the right name after they’ve been making money from your name for years, they question your name every single call. You question my name every single phone call but never question the name when the insurance sends you a payment though. Also, I cannot even get my “PCP” to return a phone call. I don’t even know who my actually PCP is. They office staff claim to take stupid notes and they’re like yeah I’m going to relay it to the PCP and no one ever calls back. Also every single time I go there I’m seeing someone different so you never even get to build a rapport with your PCP because it’s always someone different. I never know who is coming in the room to attend to me. It feels like “here let’s just find the closest person available and get rid of her” after dealing with this rubbish for a constant 2 years now I’ve decided to find another primary care physician that actually cares about me as person. Has mutual respect and is considerate. I can tell I’m the only black patient that goes here. I’m never going here again.
I recently had an appointment at Neighborhood Medical Center and was thoroughly impressed by both the exquisite knowledge and the impeccable service of the entire staff. The PA showcased a variety of innovative treatments , quick response time and and an amazing job locating the problems that need to be treated. The attentive and knowledgeable staff ensured that my visit was a memorable one, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring my satisfaction. I can’t recommend Neighborhood Medical Center enough for a fantastic medical experience.
Seems like these people don’t care about your time. Sitting in an exam room for 45 minutes.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
