North Central Surgical Center's Online Review Report Card

I had arthroscopic surgery here and it is a fantastic facility. My waiting and Recovery bed was right outside the main nurses station. While I was waiting I never turned on the TV I just sat there and listened to all the staff talking they were all so happy, joking and getting along I could tell that they really loved working there and therefore that got passed along to me. The care and efficiency could not be better! I highly recommend this Surgical CenterUpdate 9.16.2021 I had another surgery here today and I can 100% confirm my last review. This surgical center is the best there is. They are super efficient, friendly and professional and they were PACKED due to the fact that the "big hospitals" are putting off "non-emergency" procedures due to Covid. Once again, I got right in and as I lie waiting for my team I didn't listen to the TV. I listened to the happy staff in the background I think I got the same bed as I was right across from the nurses station. This time I asked my nurse what she thought of the place. She was a former ICU nurse (hello! super experienced nurse here) and she said she loved working there. NCSC, whatever you are doing, keep doing it. I seriously hope I never have to come back here, but only because I hope I never need surgery again... Thank You!

I recently about 3 weeks ago had surgery here and although it was one of the toughest things I had to do I must take the time to thank Nurse Veronica she made sure I had what I needed to be as comfortable as possible and for that I thankful for her and her kindness and compassion towards me

Had torn meniscus surgery. The entire staff was excellent from check in to check out. One nurse, as I was in prep waiting to be rolled back, happened to be passing by and she peeped in and said, "looks like you're uncomfortable." I was. No big deal but I had already had my IV drip in and couldn't reach the control. I was wishing my head was a little higher and she was attentive enough to see that. Wow. Every encounter was like this. When the anesthesiologist came in, he was equally great. If I could give 10 stars I would. I'm not one to sit down and do ratings, but I appreciated reading the ratings as I waited with my husband and I wanted you to know who are doing the same or will go here - It was a great experience from beginning to end. The professionalism (they know what they're doing) and the care were exceptional. It was such a blessing.

Doctors are great, the only thing is that I asked 3 times to clean the room before they bring the patient to the room, I came back 1 hour later and the room is the same, dirty 😡 and I saw the cleaning ladies chatting.

Had surgery here and needed bathroom assistance. The aide was not helpful whatsoever. He left my room without putting the call bell within reaching distance.He failed to place my oxygen back on.I had the television on and the remote was to far for me to turn it off.So I was helpless.Started screaming for someone to help me.I waited for another 10 minutes and called out for help.Noone came.I am a retired nurse so decided to disconnect my heart monitor.I thought surely someone would come to my assistance then.Looked at the clock and after 40 minutes started screaming for help again.Finally after 2 hours someone heard my screams.My oxygen level did drop but I knew to take slow deep breaths.I cannot express how negligent on so many fronts this experience was.I did request for the nursing director to come and chat with me .He stated that this employee was spoken to and he had worked there for 5 years.What surprised me more than anything is the fact I had disconnected my heart monitor which should have been detected immediately at the nursing station. An audible alarm should have occured at the nursing station.The screen at the nursing station literally would have shown up as a flat line.It was downright dangerous. What probably bothers more than anything is the lack of concern on the directors part.Something should have been formally written up on this occurance.

I received a bi-lateral (double) knee replacement on August 10th and stayed at North Central Surgical Center after the surgery which was performed by Dr. Muller and his team. Dr. Muller’s surgical team did an excellent job in the surgery. My scar is already looking fantastic! And the nurses at the North Central Surgery center were the best! I ended up staying 4 days at the surgical center and the nurse staff during that time were incredibly attentive to all my needs. There was never a need to ask for a pain pill because they were right there to give it to me on the scheduled time and when I began throwing up, they were there to administer anti-nausea meds and anything else that I might have needed. I’d like to specifically mention the following team members: Christina, Gloria, Emmanuel and Lobo were with me for several days and it was as if I were their only patient. They were very generous with their time when I would ask questions and so incredibly concerned about my well-being. I chose bi-lateral so I wouldn’t have to go through 2 surgeries/2 recoveries/2 PT’s, etc but had I been required to do two separate surgeries, I know I would have been in the best hands with Dr. Mullers surgical team and the nurses and staff at North Central Surgical Center.

Best friend has had two surgeries there and the staff and nurses are exceptional. She has another surgery coming up next week and we are happy she is going back to the same place.

Today I had two MRI'S and xrays at NC. I could not be more pleased with the service from the front desk to the radioligy department. Paul was the technician who performed the two MRI'S. He was great. Very informative professional who obviously loved his work. If you have never been inserted into an MRI for 40 minutes it can be nerve racking. He did a great job all around. Made experience comfortable. I then was escorted by Michael to xray. Once again a real pro that loves his work and performs very well.I highly recommend for your imaging needs.

My husband had knee surgery at North Central Surgical Center. I must compliment Arnel, the woman who guided us through the process from the time we arrived until my husband was discharged. She is caring, polite, professional, and had a big impact on our experience during this stressful time. Thank you Arnel!!!
