I had an amazing experience with my breast lift and augmentation. Dr. Liland was my surgeon, Allison was my CRNA, and Angela was my nurse—and I truly can’t say enough good things about all of them. From the moment I came in for my consultation, the front desk team was sweet and inviting. Dr. Liland took his time answering all of my questions, let me try on different sizes, and made thoughtful recommendations that made me feel confident in my decision. I was able to schedule surgery just two weeks out. On surgery day, my nurse Angela was absolutely amazing—so kind, incredibly knowledgeable, and walked me through everything step by step. Allison came in to ask final questions, and I was honestly shocked at how comfortable and at ease I felt with both of them. You can truly feel their level of experience and professionalism in every interaction. At my one-week follow-up, Angela thoroughly checked all of my incisions and patiently answered every question I had. There was absolutely no pressure or upselling—just genuine care, honesty, and expertise. I love my results so far and can’t wait for my friends and family to see them. I originally shared my full experience on RealSelf and have also submitted a formal complaint to the Texas Medical Board, because what happened to me under Dr. David Liland’s care should never happen to anyone — especially a massive weight loss patient. After losing over 200 pounds, I was finally ready to remove my excess skin and close this chapter of my journey. I went into surgery feeling hopeful and was told I’d be receiving an extended thigh lift — one that would properly address the severity of my loose skin down to my knees. Unfortunately, that is not what I received. My results were uneven, incomplete, and left me with deformities and no definition in my thighs. The emotional and physical toll has been devastating, made worse when I was told I’d need to pay again for a revision to fix work that should have been done correctly the first time. Since then, I’ve consulted with five other board-certified plastic surgeons in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, including Dr. Al Aly, who literally wrote the textbook chapters on massive weight loss body contouring. Every single one confirmed my results are not consistent with a properly executed MWL thigh lift and identified major technical errors. In my opinion, Dr. Liland is not qualified to operate on massive weight loss patients, despite advertising these procedures. Patients like me — who’ve worked hard to lose hundreds of pounds — deserve surgeons with true MWL expertise, not someone using them to gain experience. I wish someone had been this transparent before my surgery. If you’ve gone through massive weight loss, please research your surgeon carefully and don’t be swayed by social media photos or marketing claims. I’m sharing this so others don’t endure the same pain, expense, and regret I have.

Going on five years since Dr liland fixed my first bad breast augmentation by another local Dr and I tell everyone about him ! He is amazing I recommend him to all my family members and friends in Dallas and if you are outside of Dallas he is def worth the experience of knowledge and trust and such an amazing process his staff is incredible and I trusted them so much

After extensive research, I scheduled a complimentary consultation with Dr. Liland. During the consultation he was very thorough, a great listener and paid attention to my concerns. The front desk staff were great with costumer service, answering questions and scheduling. We booked my surgery and received all of the information needed to prepare and answer any questions that we had. Dr. Liland’s nurse, Angela, was FANTASTIC! The entire team was kind, thoughtful and very professional! Dr. Liland is a master at his craft with extensive experience. My recovery has been on target 3 months post. The silicone treatment did irritate my skin but healed quickly and I resumed treatments. My scars are fading fast and I have olive complexion. Overall, my am VERY pleased with my results and I am so happy I took the steps to go forward with the procedures. After having 3 C sections and finally feel confident, beautiful and comfortable in my own skin. Thank you Dr. Liland and staff!

Dr Liland was recommended to me by my Dermatologist. Whoever heard of a Plastic Surgeon doing consultations on a Saturday? Well Dr Liland does, and it was so convenient. In my initial consultation the procedure was explained thoroughly by not only Dr Liland but any further questions I had in the days after his knowledgeable staff were able to answer.
