Wonderful surgeon!

Dr. Holt is an amazing surgeon and her expertise is unmatched. Her team of doctors and nurses and all staff involved took the best of care and i had no pain at all afterwards. Very reassuring and comforting before and after and i could not be more happy with the results! If you need thyroid surgery, Dr. Holt should be your number one choice.

Dr. Holt performed my thyroidectomy and lymph node removal. I had very little pain after sugery and my scar is barely visible. I had no complications. She also has a great bedside manner and is easy to understand when explaining medical details. She also came highly recommended by my other doctors.

Dr. Shelby Holt is amazing! I had my second radical neck dissection from her and I am very pleased with the results. Her bedside manner and delicate "way about her" is top notch. She listens and is very caring. I highly recommend!

She thyroidectomized me, and unfortunately from the insertion of the IV that damaged a vein, to the incredible roughness with which I was intubated in the OR while I was slipping under, unable to protest, to the fact one of my nerves was paralyzed due to the operation, to the extraordinarily cavalier attitude of one of her medical assistants when I asked whether this paralysis was likely to be temporary or permanent... Just a terrible experience overall. I've had other surgeries at other hospitals, you don't expect surgery to be a pleasant experience, but it was never such a bad experience before. The only good part was the post-op interaction with her PA, who is a caring individual.

Dr Shelby Holt operated on our son for parathyroid disease. He had two left after a previous surgery. She removed the third parathyroid and then could not locate the fourth. This left our son with no parathyroids. He now suffers everyday from hypo parathyroid disease. Stay away from Dr. Shelby Holt.
