Silver Leaf Assisted Living's Online Review Report Card

My mother has been a resident in a Silverleaf Home for two years. The house manager has changed multiple times with no notification to the family and no idea who to contact for help or ask questions. Without a change in care or acuity, our rent has spiked 30% with minimal notice or rationale. This was absolutely a bait and switch because they know the hassle of moving a family member. When I tried to reach out to understand our options given they own 50+ homes, no one bothered to even respond to me. They also timed the notice on the last day of the month to ensure you only have 5 hrs from receiving the letter and making a decision to move or getting locked in for two more months. This is unconscionable! After two years and $90K, I’m shocked and saddened by our experience.

The company has grown too fast. There isn't a directory of anyone so you know who to contact. It feels very impersonal. It seems like they are renovating all their homes to look pretty, and to fill with more residents, but are not overly functional for those in wheelchairs or with other disabilities.

Ruin private quiet neighborhoods. Terrible neighbors. Rude staff.

Avendelle assisted living is a wonderful beautiful facility with loving & caring caregivers.

My 91-year old mother transferred to Lavendale in November. It is an excellent facility. The most important thing for any facility is the staff. Every staff member I have met at Lavendale is kind and caring. The food is good and freshly prepared on site. The rooms are cheerful and very clean. My mother is well cared for. The owner is very helpful. I highly recommend Lavendale.

I cannot express how wonderful Avendelle has been during my mother's stay. Terry and his homecare staff are kind, accommodating, and attentive, both to my mother and myself. I was in search of a home with a very tight timeframe. Terry went above and beyond to ensure my mother had proper room and board to keep her comfortable and safe. If you are in search of a home that will care for your loved one as you would yourself, you have found the perfect place!

My Mother-in-Law has been living at Lavendale House for 10 months. She is 96, somewhat deaf and legally blind. She lived in a highly rated facility previous to Lavendale. We visit every day and so we know what goes on there daily. It is a wonderful place to live. The Manager excels at her job and has the residents (including my Mother - in - Law) doing crafting activities, excercise classes, movies, and some outdoor activities. The house is large and open, well appointed with a nice outdoor space outside. There is ample parking for visitors and a Doctors house call group is available for Medical needs. Each resident has their own bedroom with a private bath. The cost is about half what you pay for a large facility and the care is much, much more personalized. We love it here and can't say enough nice things about the place!

Although my mother was a resident here for only a short time, the care provided by the staff and management could not have been better. In addition, the home is located in a peaceful setting, and there is ample parking for visitors.

This was my first time going to a residential home that was an Assisted Living....My experience was GREAT, the layout of the home really had plenty of room for resident to relax and enjoy a homey setting, residents were happy and being cared for, the place was clean and smelled great. Being a caregiver isn't an easy job but all staff members were smiling and happy to be spending time with the residents. I definitely recommend Avendelle Assisted Living!
