I had a double mastectomy and Dr T did the reconstruction. He has done an amazing job. He has been very informative about what he is doing and has made sure to make my breasts symmetrical.

I had 5 surgeries within 6 months where Dr Teotia was the reconstruction surgeon post-lumpectomy, then bilateral mastectomy. I was always very specific what my expectations post-surgery were. At no time were my expectations- which were based on other glowing reviews & UTSW employees- met in the least way. My fifth surgery left me in such pain, I could barely stand it. I should have never been sent home in that kind of pain. Despite various prescriptions, NOTHING relieved the pain. When I went in for my follow-up, both he & his nurse acted like I was lying about my pain level. While in the hospital for a week, not once did he come to see me. Dr Teotia is very personable, but my surgical results have been devastating.

There is so much I can say about Dr Teotia. From the 1st time I appeared in his office for my plastic surgery consultation to the very end I was treated with care. His work has me feeling more confident about my body. I have recommended others to him and will only see him if I have to return in the future. Although he's an expert in his field he was always humble and considerate of my fears and concern. Thank you so much Dr Teotia. ~You're The Best~

I had two different reconstructive surgeons before coming to Dr. Teotia. The first was good, the second not so good, Dr. Teotia has been great. My first op with him, he removed and replaced two ruptured implants and all the bits of silicon debris which had leaked out. I was happy with my new implants until I learned of their recall. Dr. Teotia was not at all dismissive of my concerns. He told me my options were either replace them with an old style of implants or flap surgery. I'd previously been told by three reconstructive surgeons that I was not a candidate for flap reconstruction due to previous abdominal surgeries. Dr. Teotia, in partnership with Dr. Haddock, do a flap surgery using the 'love handle' and I was good candidate for that surgery. It was a long surgery and recovery is slow, but steady, but I couldn't be happier! I am thrilled not to have any more implants! I feel very fortunate to have found my way to Dr. Teotia. He is kind and caring, but also very much straight to the point, which I appreciate. I highly recommend him (and Dr. Haddock) to any woman, especially those seeking breast reconstruction.

Dr. Teotia should be working in a meat market or in Dr. Frankenstein's lab. He did not listen to my questions, and did not explain anything to me. He was more concerned with his $3k pen and his ridiculous outfit. He was dismissive and because everyone at UTSW gave him a good reference, I made the mistake of trusting hearsay. I felt that he experimented on me and when he was done I had severely deformed breasts and tummy area. My scars were and still are treacherous and I look unfit to even be the bride of Frankenstein's monster. I would not recommend Dr. Teotia to anyone. He has ruined my life.

I've had two surgeries with Dr. Teotia. The first to remove and replace ruptured implants. The second to remove those implants and replace with my own tissue in a rare and complex flap procedure using my 'love handles.' Working with Dr. Haddock, Dr. Teotia was able to do both breasts in a single operation. Recovery is slow and steady. All that's left, once I'm fully healed, is the fine tuning. I am already beyond happy with the results! Dr. Teotia is a true artist whose medium happens to be the human body, specifically women's breasts. He's a kind man with a good sense of humor. I find him responsive to my concerns, compassionate, and very professional. I highly recommend him to any woman, but especially to those in need of breast reconstruction.

Dr. Teotia is so well regarded by everyone at UT Southwestern. Anywhere you mention his name, everyone speaks of how wonderful he is as a person and a surgeon. He was my breast reconstruction surgeon and he is not only caring and compassionate, but he is one of the best reconstruction surgeons in the nation, with specialization in complicated micro surgeries. An artist as well, he is a perfectionist and strives for as close to a perfect aesthetic result as possible. I consider myself blessed that he was my surgeon.

Callous, insensitive, rude, sarcastic, offensive. All traits that shouldn't be used to describe an MD. I gave him one star because zero stars wasn’t an option.

Dr. Teotia was very kind, informative, and extremely supportive in my surgery experience. He has the best bedside manner I have ever experienced. My surgery of breast reduction after removing the cancer was highly successful. I am so happy with the surgery. I’ve had to contact him for a few questions about my recovery and received prompt answers. He is truly a master in creating beautiful results, he made a bad time in my life so much better and gave me the confidence I needed at this time in my life. He is truly the best!
