He has been my doctor twice. first for a badly sprained ankle requiring surgery. Everything went well. Twenty years later, it was for a broken wrist. The first appointment i waited two hours, 1 hour in waiting room and another hour in treatment room. Then he saw me 15 minutes at most. He never showed me my x-rays so i did not know how bad the break was. he gave me the option of casting or surgery, and I chose casting since i didn't know the severity of break. Out of 6 appointments, he (not me) cancelled 3 of them, two were days before a major holiday. Once the cast came off, I developed severe pain, but was unable to reach them by phone, as the lines were not working properly. I tried email. Seven months later I got a response. by that time the pain had passed.
I recently had total knee replacement. Dr Gemas and his staff are amazing. I was skeptical and nervous about undergoing surgery but everything went smoothly. I plan to go back in a few months for the other knee .
The office staff was very professional and friendly, however the Dr had a terrible bedside manner! He was very dismissive of my pain and injury and stated he was just looking at 69 year old knee.Didn’t show concern or compassion, will never return nor refer anyone!!
Went to Dr. Gemas for two different incidences. First one was for a badly sprained ankle that needed surgery. Everything went well and healed completely. Twenty years later i went for a broken wrist. 1st appointment i waited 2 hours. 1 hr in waiting room, and another in treatment room. Then he talked to me 5 minutes without answering my questions. Out of 5 appointments, he (not me) rescheduled me two times. Never showed me my xrays. My 2nd appointment i had to ask him 5 times before he showed me. On 2nd appointment he told me that everything was the same, which to me meant no healing had occurred. But when he did show me my xray, healing had begun and he had to back pedal and explain things. Doctors who don't tell me the full truth, I can't trust.
Great dr, great staff, really helped me with broken arm
Doctor Gemas is fantastic!!! Had both my knees repaired and my hip replaced by him and the results were awesome. He explained exactly what to expect and has always been on point. He gets my vote as the Best Orthopedic Doctor in Dallas!
Prior to surgery I had been on crutches. Dr. Gemas performed my meniscus surgery about 5 years ago. I've been pain free since. Everything went well, both pre and post-op. Couldn't be happier with my results.
I've been going to Dr. Gemas for quite a few years. Several surgeries..great doctor!!
Had an appt this morning and upon arrival we noticed that the receptionist and at least 2 people in the small waiting room were not wearing masks so we left. Go at your own risk.
My husband and I did NOT have a good feeling of this doctor. He acted like breaking my foot is no big deal. Attitude was very condescending and overall we decided to cancel our follow up appointment and see a doctor that we know is compassionate and highly professional

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
